She is cold, and actually said that nothing was wrong when I gave complaints of horrible weakness, yellow skin, constipation, sleepiness, dry skin, cold intolerance, abnormal menses, and so on-these are all typical for hypothyroidism. She didn't come up with any brilliant ideas that could explain my concerns, so my mother did. I had also given her tests that came back low, and she gave me more that came back low again. I guess it wasn't low enough for her. Not only did she dismiss them she gave me the "it's in your head" routine. Needless to say I was through with her, but she wasn't done through with me. The next four doctors I went to she made personal calls to, stressing that it was in my head and that nothing was wrong. Needless to say my symptoms where progressing and I had no doctor. I finally found a endocrinologist who immediately saw my numbers and symptoms and put me on levothyroxine. I was diagnosed with pituitary hypothyroidism along with low estrogen, progesterone, and… testosterone. I was also recently diagnosed with Undifferentiated Connective Tissue Disease. Like my symptoms this woman is too horrible to make up. People like her should practice medicine. Choose another doctor in another ped-endo hospital because all the ped-endo at nyu collaborate, and you don't want her input.
