Dr. Bonnie Frank Carter, PhD

I have been seeing Dr. Carter for nearly five years and am prompted to write this as a result of a strange review I recently came across which was nasty and did a huge disservice to one of the kindest and most genuine people to grace this earth. My experience is very similar to those of every other review I've seen aside from one that was filled with outright lies. She is kind, caring, compassionate and empathetic. But much more than this. She has gone above and beyond the call of duty many, many times. She has waived my co-pay when I've been tight and has spoken to me at length more times than I can count without charging. So the comments about money were almost laughable except for the fact that some may read and actually believe that nonsense. When I was completely isolated and suffered a great loss at the beginning of corona she had seven day a week sessions with me, sometimes more that she couldn't bill for. And my insurance doesn't compensate her well; many therapists refuse to… take it for that reason. But she does! If the weather cooperated we met in her driveway in person sitting ten feet or so away from each other. She was often the only person I got to see in person, sometimes for months at a time other than at the market etc. There are so many more examples but it would take days to write them all. I truly believe that without her endless support I would not be here today. I don't say this lightly. Her kindness has many times brought me to tears. I am so sorry (selfishly) that she will be retiring in a few years.
