Dr. Bonny Shapin, PhD

I have known Dr . Shapin most of her life. As a young teenager I would expect that she would become a psychologist. As a friend she was always the most compassionate and nonjudgmental person I had ever known. As a student in high school she was very smart excelling in all subjects. She’s a rapid learner and that’s probably why she is able to understand the needs of her patients so quickly. She understands people and how they think. I would highly recommend her to help you, the patient resolve difficulties in your life and navigate around obstacles that get in your way of becoming who you really want to be. She will maintain your identity and help you grow. That’s what I always remember about Dr . Shapin

I have seen Dr. Shapin for a few years now and I can’t imagine seeing anyone else for psychotherapy in the future! Compared to others, Dr. Shapin is so thoughtful and compassionate, very friendly, down to earth, and extremely helpful during some of the most difficult times in my life. I highly recommend Dr. Shapin to anyone looking for a psychologist who is not only professional, flexible and supportive, but also a lovely human being overall.

I have been under Dr. Shapin’s care for serval years. Prior to seeing Dr Shapin I had been to three other psychologist and my needs were not being met. Over the years I have accomplished some much. I am able to see things/ issues in a much more positive light. I have gained skills to help me function day to day. I continue to learn and make progress. I have found that Dr. Shapin is kind, nonjudgmental, caring and very patient. I highly recommend Dr. Bonny Shapin.

This is my 3rd year with Dr. Bonny Shapin, and I am still impressed with the treatment I'm receiving. She has been instrumental in helping me find my way out of a very dark place. I've experienced some very traumatic events in my life over the past year and with her assistance, I'm back on my feet. She's a compassionate listener and she provides practical suggestions based on the information I provide and her knowledge of who am. I really like that she doesn't take a one size fits all approach. I also like that she treats me like a human being and not like a mental patient. I highly recommend her.

Dr. Shapin is very knowledgeable and helpful. She gives well thought out suggestions. She is not demanding or hard. I have seen this doctor for over a years and I continue to gain more self-knowledge. After seeing other psychologists I know that I made a great decision in continuing treatment/ sessions with Dr. Shapin.

I've been seeing Dr. Bonny Shapin for 2 years and she is awesome. I suffer from ADHD, Severe Anxiety Disorder, Depression and PTSD related to the abuse that I suffered when I was a child. I've never seen a mental health doctor with more compassion, patience and wisdom. I'm not sure I would be here right now to do this review if I hadn't found her and trusted her with my deepest darkest pains. If you're hurting, this is the person you need to see. :)

Excellent therapist. Have been seen Dr Shapin for over a year. I have worked through a great deal of challenges. No complaints.

I'm surprised she still has her license considering how unethical and judge mental she is.

She's an example of how not every Ph.D. is a good therapist. She might be good at teaching but she's terrible as a therapist. Unethical and very judgmental.
