Dr. Brad Eugene Michael, PhD

My now 14 year old started seeing Dr. Michael when he was around 11 and we were so impressed with how well he established a rapport with my son and gained his trust. He also had a lot of practical, quick-to-implement solutions for my son's concerns. Given his pre-teen mindset at the time, my son was wary of speaking openly about sensitive topics, but Dr. Michael not only managed to get my son to open up but also helped alleviate his anxiety about the issues very quickly. We really wish we could have continued with Dr. Michael but unfortunately moved out of the Houston area. Highly recommended!

My 5 year old son has been seeing Dr Michael for a few months now. I was hesitant to see him because of the reviews I have read online. Please, do not believe what seems to be disgruntled mothers. Dr Michael may say some things you don't want to hear, but our children are not perfect and it is our actions that have shaped them into the person they are. I feel like Dr Michael gets to the root of that. I know I need to stop yelling and be more consistent in my follow through and Dr Michael made me remember that. He is calm and attentive. He provides great ways to address discipline, he does not condemn you for the way you do handle things. He simply offers a different, more productive way. I will keep seeing Dr Michael for my son. My son looks forward to these visits and bonus: he takes our insurance!

Dr. Michael really helped my sons and both of us (parents) through difficult times dealing with an ADHD kid and another child with anger issues. Caring, open, practical and honest, even when it hurt to hear the reality as parents. Gives homework and expects the whole family to do it. Was always able to squeeze us in during urgent times between scheduled visits. Took my insurance too.

Lazy, refuses to do due diligence, shoots from the hip, biased, anger management issues, inserts his personal parenting views, unrelated to psychology, into his sessions. Was easily manipulated by my child who laughed at him after the session. Very closed minded. Thinks because of his experience he does not have to think or do any work anymore.

easily swayed against his client. poor professionalism. Filing a complaint against him. He bashed me for one hour not allowing me to speak. I was sick for 4 weeks after seeing him.

I agree with the other review. He is extremely biased and opinionated and fails to address key concerns.

He is by far one of the worst child psychs I have met. My son was recently tested by someone else for his supposed ADHD and he was not ADHD he did however suffer from parental alienation, which surprisingly Dr Micheals failed to mention since he I am assuming on this part favored the other parent or he just was doing what the other parent wanted.
