Dr. Braden Ray Rance, MD

We drive 60 miles one way because I love his bedside manner and kindness. He is attentive, respectful, and recently helped us diagnose my husband with Graves Disease. Our general practitioner, who is wonderful, missed it at David’s last physical...they are human! Dr. Rance gave us a list of things to check on and my husband is now being treated for it! I highly recommend him!!

I live in Lees Summit. I was seeing Dr Rance for my yearly check up post skin cancer. I left my house 45 minutes prior to appointment time. There was an accident with one lane blocked and so I attempted to call and let them know I’d be a few minutes late. My appointment was at 8:05am and they don’t answer the phone til 8:30 am so I couldn’t talk to anyone to let them know I’d be a bit late. Once I got there, I checked in at 8:16 am. They said I wouldn’t be able to see the Dr, I’d need to reschedule. I talked to Office Manager, explained the situation that I attempted to call and they don’t answer their phone and that’s ridiculous. If I would have known I wouldn’t have wasted my time driving over. She seemed heartless, only admitting that they need to work on the phone situation. They lost my business. They seem like they’re busy enough and really don’t care if you go there or not. She told me they make appointments every 10 minutes. If you want a money hog go here, if you want a caring… office then go somewhere else.

After a couple of my messages were not returned I finally got an appointment. I was 10 minutes late (sorry 435 was reduced to one lane that da), stood in line while they helped 2 men fill out emergency contact info and ignored my arrival then informed me “You’re late. make another appointment. “. They said I could combine it with my skin check in three weeks, but had refused to do that when I originally asked. Dr is great but Will find a more organized office to avoid wasting my pto.

Always timely on appointments! Does not farm out his skin checks to PA's and Nurse Practitioners. Nice bedside manner! Highly recommend. I am Very picky about my doctors!!????

This dr does 'drive bys'- As a patient with a history of pre-cancerous skin growths, I'm supposed to be thoroughly checked out once a year. Made an appt to see this guy and he spent five minutes- then got a bill for an outrageous amount. I don't mind drs making a living, of course, or expecting to get paid- but I also don't like ANYONE taking advantage of me. He looked at ONE thing- and one thing only- (there were three questionable things) and then told me I'd have to make another appt -

I USED TO SEE A DOCTOR THAT MISDIAGNOSED MY SKIN CANCER. HAD TO HAVE SERIOUS SURGERY ON NOSE. MY SURGEON RECOMMENDED DR RANCE TO ME AND THAT WAS THE BEST THING THAT COULD HAVE HAPPENED TO ME. HE DOES A SKIN EXAM THAT TOTALLY CHECKS YOU OUT TO MAKE SURE THERE ARE NO MORE CANCER SPOTS.LOVE HIM. HE'S THE GREATEST.

Unlike visits to other physicians and dentists, I actually look forward to going to my appointments with Dr. Rance for the following reasons:-He is personally very cordial and at the same time very fast and accurate with his exams and treatments. -He quickly found and treated several serious problems I had and was totally unaware of when I decided to have a dermatologist check some facial moles that my general practitionor said were nothing to be concerned about..one was adangerous/cancerous basil cell carcinoma

Caring bedside manner. He narrowed down what was happening with my skin but was not able to conclude exactly what was going, which required multiple visits.

I had a great experience at Dr. Rance's office. Dr. Rance was very thorough and really listened to me. I will recommend him to my family and friends.

I am grateful to have treated those skin ailments which I discovered happenstance. But, what really impresses me is Dr. Rances' ability to view the care of my skin in totality. He has coached with fervor those things I should attend to when it comes to staying healthy, especially as it relates to my sun abused akin. When you are searching for a physician who will always go the extra/personal distance in your treatment - this is the gentleman to see. Indeed he raises the bar on the quality of health care. I would trust no other.
