I was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan and attended the University of Michigan for both undergraduate and medical school. (Go Blue!) I spent my years in general surgery residency at Henry Ford Hospital in downtown Detroit, and after all that, I couldn't wait to move somewhere warm! I've been in Southern California since 2001 with no plans to leave!
