First, my neurosurgery was a long time ago, the original surgeon has retired and the original surgery was not performed by Dr, Killory, Went to him for an opinion on some possible late occurring side effects. Told him very clearly that I had been diagnosed with convergence insufficiency.( ocular). This doctor told me all my symptoms could be explained by sleep apnea and a bad facet in my neck. Convergence insufficiency is a brain problem, not a neck problem. I got really concerned when I asked about the metal clips showing on my CT scan and he said he didn't see any metal clips. Well I have a copy of the radiology report and the radiologist saw numerous clips- I believe the radiologist and not Dr.Killory. Didn't listen to him after that. He asked where my pain was and I told him the left base of my skull, he answered something like" oh it should be at C5-6". Apparently does not consider me competent to say where I have pain.

Dr. Killory returned my life to me. The pain from Trigeminal Neuralgia could no longer be controlled by medication. He recommended MVD and I was in surgery in 6 days and am now free of pain. He is brilliant and very very caring.
