Dr. Brett Michael Morrison, MD

I am writing to share our experience with Dr. Brett Morrison during our recent visit for our son, Luke on March 3rd 2026. We traveled approximately seven hours round trip, including driving in difficult weather conditions, to seek expert evaluation and guidance. Given the seriousness of Luke’s condition, we came with hope and trust in the level of care Johns Hopkins is known for. Unfortunately, our experience with Dr. Morrison was deeply disappointing. We found his demeanor to be rushed, disengaged, and at times dismissive. The interaction did not reflect the level of attentiveness or clinical curiosity we expected, particularly given the complexity of Luke’s case. What was especially concerning to us was a noticeable shift in tone during the visit. After reviewing Luke’s prior superior physical condition, Dr. Morrison’s demeanor appeared to change in a way that felt abrupt and difficult to understand. While we recognize this may not have been intentional, it contributed to an… overall impression of disengagement and lack of interest in Luke’s situation. This wasn't a fellow gym bro of our sons. This is a highly educated doctor acting like this which was both alarming and disappointing. As a family, we left the appointment feeling unheard and unsupported, which was particularly disheartening given the effort and hope we placed in this consultation. I would also like to note that the rest of our experience at Johns Hopkins was excellent. Dr. Chelsey Barton Reed, as well as the individual who performed Luke’s EMG (Larry) and the doctor that did the NCS (Arens Taga), were outstanding, professional, attentive, and very compassionate. Their care reflected the level of excellence we had hoped for throughout the visit. We are sharing this feedback not only out of disappointment, but out of a genuine desire to ensure that all patients and families receive the level of care, attention, and professionalism that Johns Hopkins Sincerely,Teresa Webber
