Dr. Brian Alexander Anderson, MD

He seems like a nice enough person but seems like he's actually depressed himself. He was so lacking in emotion, I felt like I wanted to take his pulse. A very weird experience. I also felt like he was not really that interested in my problems. Felt like he wanted to prescribe a drug and get me out of his office as quickly as possible.

This dr is very smart and helpful. He listens to me and helped me with my concerns. ð???

Dr. Anderson is a smart, thoughtful, and caring man. He greets me warmly, listens to me, asks insightful questions to elicit ideas about core problems beyond my surface symptoms, provides thoughtful feedback to my complaints and helpful answers to my questions, prescribes medicine judiciously and proactively, and changes course promptly and appropriately when necessary to coincide with changes in my condition. He seems to be aware of a wide variety of state-of-the-art theories, diagnoses, and medical treatments, and he is conscientious about how he applies his knowledge to my needs. I trust him and like talking with him. In addition, a year or so ago, Dr. Anderson and the other doctors in his office replaced their rude receptionist (the one who is mentioned in other reviews on this site). The lady who works for them now is one of the warmest, most professional, and nicest people you will ever meet in a doctor's office (or in any other setting for that matter). She is patient with… me both in person and on the phone, listens to my questions and even my complaints about daily problems (which is well beyond what should be expected for a person doing a hectic job such as hers), shows genuine sympathy for my physical and other problems, and always greets me with a smile and a kind word. She is a great complement to the doctors in the office Overall, my experience with Dr. Anderson has helped me to become aware of and change some of my problematic behaviors. He helps me think with a more objective and long-term vision, and he has helped me learn strategies to challenge irrational thoughts and live a happier, healthier life. I am by no means "cured" of my anxiety or depression -- which is beyond what I would expect anyone to do for me -- but I think I am stable and possibly even improving.The dark thoughts I used to experience frequently occur less often now since I have Dr. Anderson to talk with. Life is smoother and directed toward more positive places, and Dr. Anderson is responsible for a large part of the improvement I have felt.

This is a very kind and informative Dr. He takes time with you,and always returns your call personally. I would recomend him highly.

I was not impressed with Dr Anderson. I was much happier finding an alternate Dr.

Dr. Anderson is a very nice physician with good bedside manner but is not current with his understanding of newer medications and cutting edge treatments. For medication management I would not recommend him, but for someone who is willing to take in a holistic view of your mental health he is a good choice.

Recieve promt service every time I come for a visit, and wait times are very minimal. Dr. Anderson is very caring, compassionate and is always courteous and professional. I would recommend him to anyone seeking psychiatric guidance.

I was on a medical leave of absence for anxiety/depression and unfortunately was referred to Dr. Anderson. He probably spent 10 minutes talking to me and then prescribed me meds. He agreed that I wasn't able to work and told me he would tell the insurance company that, but also told me that I should be looking for a job. Later I received a phone call from the insurance company, explaining that they denied my claim because Dr. Anderson said I was not only looking for a job, but of sound mind and fully capable to return to work. I was in complete shock and was left in a much worse position than what I started with. I hope no one goes through the same thing.

Great doctor!!! If you open up to him, he will listen and handle your situation with the utmost respect and care. But you certainly have to be honest or yes, you will be misdiagnosed.
