Dr. Brian Escala Chavez, MD

Dr. Chavez is a Good Doctor, the only issue I have is what I have at any Doctor Office I go to and see Staff with their Pant scrubs "DRAGGING" on the floor, it looks unprofessional and it's bad hygiene. I don't understand why ANY Medical office would allow their staff to dress like that, SLOPPY!

Dr ChAvez gets the highest rating from me. He has taken time and care to treat me after thyroid surgery. He is understanding, patient, caring, and tries to find what will work best for you. He has seen me through hard times and I am most grateful to him.

Efficient, caring and listens to what I need as well as advising what we work to get health to the normal levels.

Why go anywhere else?

Dr. Chavez is a well-intentioned dr. who studies and diagnoses strictly from blood tests, ultrasounds etc. but doesn't really listen to his patients medical issues. In other words, he is no Dr. House. He fails to explain why he prescribes drugs. My daughter came home with a thyroid drug prescription she would have to take for the rest of her life, never explaining this to her. He means well but just doesn't realize the implications of his advice. Her problem was borderline, and he could have given her a milder drug.

Dr Chavez is Kind and caring and very low key. He is very easy to talk to. Though his name is Hispanic he is Asian. His English is 100 % fluent with no accent at all. His understanding and helpfulness with Diabetes has been 100%. I am type I.I have Hashimotos Thyroiditis and my thyroid function fluctuates. His overal helpfulness with this, my ultrasounds, biopsy, medication, etc has been less than satisfactory.Since Thyroid cancer has taken several people in my family, and multiple autoimmune endocrine problems have presented themselves, my case became complicated. The more complicated the less proactive he was, and the less confidence I had.My recomendation for serious Thyroid and multiple endocrine disorders is to see a university specialist such as UCLA or UCSF
