Dr. Blake took time to explain procedures. Surgery on rotator cuff went very well @ Oasis.

Dr. Blake is the kindest doctor that I have been to at Omni and I have been to a few for other orthopedic issues. Dr. Blake seems to care and listens to my concerns. I never feel rushed by Dr. Blake or his nurses while at an appointment.

I went to Dr. Brian Blake for an injury to my left knee. After ordering X-rays and an MRI, he told me that neither one of those showed any damage to either the bones or my meniscus. He documented my injury as a sprain, and told me verbally that since he couldn't see the problem that I must have an IT band issue. He then gave me a cortisone shot. This did not fix the problem. He then prescribed physical therapy, which I performed for several months. This also did not fix the problem. My pain actually got worse. Finally, after over 2 years of being in pain and walking unsteadily, I took the x-rays and MRI that Dr. Blake had ordered to another doctor. This doctor took one look at the MRI views and the written report accompanying the MRI and showed me what Dr. Blake had not--that I did indeed have a lateral tear on the outer meniscus of my left knee. Also, when my "new" doctor's staff requested that the written reports from my MRI be faxed to his practice (complete with a transfer request properly filled out and signed by myself), OMNI Orthopaedics (the practice for which Dr. Blake works) repeatedly transferred the "new" doctor's staff members to voicemail, rather than sending the requested records. It took 2 phone calls and a voicemail message from myself, while I was sitting in the offices of said "new" doctor, before OMNI would finally do as they had been legally ordered--a waste of another 50 minutes of my time for what should have been a 5 minute transaction. If Dr. Brian Blake had actually bothered to read the written report of the MRI from his own practice, he could have saved me 2 years of pain and limited mobility. I shall never return to either OMNI Orthopaedics or Dr. Brian Blake again, and I would not recommend that anyone else do so.
