Dr. Brian David Kossak, MD

We brought our son in to see Dr. Kossak to explore reasons he was struggling in school. He spent all of 20mins with us, had a pretty horrible bedside manner for working with children, and then referred us for a sleep study. For that privilege, his office billed us $706. Imagine billing someone that for 20mins of your consultation time? Not sure that a top lawyer could get that. Meanwhile, our insurance company beat him back $384. Still seems mighty high for a lackluster 20min consult. I'd look elsewhere.

I had the worst experienced. I was hoping to get answers and left mOre confused than ever. He treat me and my son like we were idiots and I know I am not a neurologist and that is not my strength but that’s the reason I am bringing my son to him so can figure things out and explain to me why the long seizure happen. He never said hi he never took the time to listen. Awful experience ever. To save you time go see someone else.

Dr. Kossak did not respect my child’s autonomy. He didn’t ask permission or even warn my child that he would be touching her and reacted poorly when it upset her. He was arrogant, condescending, and spoke over me when I was trying to explain or provide information about my child. I don’t know if this doctor has a problem with women or if he treats all of his patients so poorly; but it is so unacceptable. We see many doctors due to the fact that she is medically complicated. I’ve never written a negative review or made the decision not to go back to a doctor until now.

Unempathetic doctor who could careless about his oath. He canceled an appointment with my son because he only sees patients up to the age of 21. Keep in mind my son is still 21. He has been displaying new neurological systems associated with his autism. This is the doctor who diagnosed him. Apparently he won't be seen by this horrendous doctor because he does not want to fit him into the schedule. I'm pretty sure he could careless about this review and it will have no impact. The poor nurse who called also disagreed with his decision and vocalized her concerns to me. Apparently he doesn't care about their opinion either. Great doctor, right? Don't worry, even if you have a terrible experience he is probably making six figures. When patients are just dollar signs, I would advise to go elsewhere.

It is beyond disgraceful that this doctor treats his patients the way they do. Going in for a sleep study with my 6-year-old niece who has multiple difficulties and a disorder called PBD, he was completely careless. He grabbed her head and bend her neck back so quickly she instantly began crying. When I told him she doesn’t like to be jolted back he was very aggravated. She does not like to be touched on her head because she has hearing aid and glasses, and becomes protective. I am not someone who typically would write a review but it disgusts me that people bother going into practice when they have to deal with patients and are this distrespectful. Obviously people wouldn’t be going to see him for help if they were doing okay, so to make the experience that should be helping you so unpleasant makes me wonder why he is still employed. As we left she said thank you, still upset, and he actually told her to be quiet. Do not see this doctor, and if you have the opportunity to see anyone… else, it’s worth an extra drive.

His bed side manners are awful but very good at what he dose. Got my son off useless meds.. Soon as we talked he know testing was needed. An just after 2 appointment..

Very rude. Very offensive. Contradicts himself at appointments. One appointment says not to do something next appointment he says to do it. Very very unprofessional. Will never go back.

Did not even look at my son. Looked at the documentation and said he has ADD and needs meds. No tests no questions. Looks to me like he needs to get his numbers up. I got a second opinion and got a completely different result.

I have had the same experience like the rest of the parents, he refuses to help my daughter with her sleep problem he shows no concern it all.
