Dr. Brian Joseph Printy, MD

I didn't have a good experience period. At first he seemed like a great dr, very honest, very blunt. Then the closer to my due date I got the more he started talking c section. He knew how strongly I wanted a vbac. My last appointment with him he gave me every excuse imaginable why I couldn't have a natural delivery. He refused to sweep my membranes even though I asked him to, because I was strep b positive. He refused an induction because "the risks of uterine rupture were too high", he told me I have a very large baby (no proof), told me my height would cause for a long & strenuous labor that would end in a c section or that my child's shoulders would get stuck & that was a whole different procedure he didn't want to get into. Basically, he did the bait & switch method on me, attempting to bully me into a delivery I am completely against unless necessary. Needless to say I will be seeing a new dr next week to get a second opinion!

I saw Dr. Printy three times while I was pregnant. The first time was because I had been bleeding and my ultrasound showed a 6.5cm ovarian cyst. He told me that the ultrasound must have been misread and my pain was round ligament pain. Strike one ( I had 8 ultrasounds each showing the cyst grow). I called in a few weeks later because I didn't feel good and had cramps. He diagnosed me with a UTI over the phone and sent in an order for macrobid. I was admitted in to labor and delivery the next day for preterm labor and no evidence of a bladder infection. Strike two. About two weeks later I called the office because I lost a lot of water and was bleeding. Printy was the only doctor available. He told me that I simply had a yeast infection and told me to buy monistat over the counter. I went home and started having contractions. I went to my real doctor the next day. I was leaking amniotic fluid and was sent for an emergency ultrasound that day showing very low fluid around baby. Strike… three! Needless to say I would never trust him with ANYTHING! He doesn't listen to the patient at all!
