Dr. Brian Doyle has the following 3 specialties
- Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine
An osteopath is a physician who is trained in the philosophy of osteopathic medicine. These doctors have a D.O. degree which stands for Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, as opposed to M.D. for Medical Doctor.
Osteopathic medicine differs from conventional medicine, which is sometimes referred to as allopathic medicine, in that they incorporate a type of manual therapy called Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (OMM) into their treatment in which they manipulate the spine in order to relieve pain when other methods have not been successful. This is reflective of the philosophical difference between the two types of physicians; osteopaths are trained to treat the body as a whole in the belief that the body is structured with the ability to heal itself while medical doctors treat specific illnesses or symptoms.
Overall, osteopaths and medical doctors in the US are both equally qualified to treat patients and they work in the same settings and provide the same treatments.
- Orthopedic Surgery
An orthopaedic surgeon is a physician who specializes in diagnosis and surgical treatment of injuries and disorders involving the musculoskeletal system, such as hip replacements and arthroscopic knee surgery.
In addition to treating trauma to the musculoskeletal system, these doctors also deal with sports injuries, degenerative diseases, infections, tumors and congenital disorders.
- Surgery of the Hand
Hand surgeons are certified surgeons who are also experts in the function and structure of your wrists, hands and forearms. This allows them to treat arthritis, carpal tunnel, trigger finger and tennis elbow, most of which tend to result from repetitive and excessive use of the corresponding joints, muscles, tendons and ligaments.
Hand surgeons also commonly work with patients who have fractures or broken bones from any kind of accident. If you're experiencing any kind of general pain in your hand, wrist or forearm that isn’t going away, a hand surgeon is probably your best resource.

I am a mechanic. I had a bone removal and replacement in my wrist. With this major surgery this uncaring guy puts me offwork for 6 weeks at a time. Thus subjecting me to Kaisers 4 week SDI form processing every month as well as CA SDI processing each time. I am paying late fees with my creditors all because he does not care and refuse to give me a longer period of offwork. He expects me to return to work in 4 months after this surgery. I had a less invasive surgery 27 years ago and was off almost a year. GO FIGURE!!Good Doctor but really lacking in Empathy for patient.
The only semi negative rating given was not the doctor's fault. The wait time to get a room at the hospital was excessive. We had an 8:30 am appointment to see if surgery was possible that day, it was determined around 9:30-10:00 am that the surgery would be scheduled for that day. Unfortunately, the hospital was not able to get my husabdn into his room until 4:00 pm that night. Overall this doctor is excellent and does great work!
