Brion J. Lock, M.D., graduated with a bachelor of arts degree from Kalamazoo College in Kalamazoo, Mich. He earned his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Mich. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Dr. Lock was chosen to serve as chief resident for one year after completion of his internal medicine residency in 2002. He stayed at UAB to complete his pulmonary and critical care fellowship and served as chief fellow during his final year of training. Dr. Lock is described as hard working and passionate about the practice of medicine. His colleagues consider him to be very energetic and industrious with regard to patient care. Prior to joining Piedmont Physicians, Dr. Lock was in practice with Georgia Lung Associates for 7 years. Dr. Lock is board certified in critical care and pulmonary disease, and specializes in cough and airways diseases including asthma, COPD, and bronchiectasis. First visit today. This Dr listens, looks at you and your history on the screen,formulates a process, and includes you in a decision making plan of care. He is efficient, obviously knowledgeable capable and compassionate. Not only did he get right to testing with results during the office visit, set my mind at ease and provide me with answers, but, when I mentioned my 72 year old husband has been in distress for several weeks, getting worse, but first appointment to see this Dr is 2 weeks away, the Dr went to front desk with me set appointment for that afternoon, today, and said ," We can make that happen" and it did indeed. I'm a retired RN of over 30 years, and have never been elated by any Dr. but and I'm pleased and grateful to say, Dr Lock is our Dr. and he IS the best!

Dr. Lock is beyond FANTASTIC!!! He listens to my concerns & gives me options to needed treatment. Explains things in a way that one can understand. I would recommend Dr. Lock to ANYONE!!!

Best Doctor in town....The only Dr. who could diagnose a cough I have had for a year and make me better...I will be for ever grateful to him....One visit and he had me diagnosed when I had been to the ER 2 times and 3 different doctors, and he took the time to look into my history...Thanks Dr. Locke... Dr. Lock is probably the best physician we have ever seen. He treats my wife, his patient, with utmost respect, talks with us about her condition without jargon, and makes us feel like we are the only people there. We highly recommend Dr. Lock!

Let me tell you ...if you need a great Doctor you need not look any further! I was referred to Georgia Lung Associates, Dr. Lock by a Dr. at Piedmont Hosp. Emergency and he could not have done me a greater favor. Within 2 weeks of visiting Dr. Lock he had me feeling soooooo very much better and it still gets better. You will not find a Dr. who listens more and cares more than Dr. Lock. All of doctors & staff are wonderful! Make an appointment and feel better.
