Dr. Bruce Patterson Crowley, MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Crowley's for several years, as I was a patient of his office's predecessor. This will however be the final time that I see Dr. Crowley. It has always been an unpleasant chore trying to hold my breath through his horrible bad breath and today it not only came from the doctor but his assistant as well. While I find this extremely unprofessional, it is another incident today which prompts me to write this complaint and to terminate my contact with him. I suffer from anxiety and today had to wait for an uncomfortably long amount of time in the examination room on a hard exam chair. When Dr. Crowley finally made his appearance, he stuck his hand out and asked me how I was doing. I honestly stated "Not good as my appointment was for 4 pm and it was now 4.40 pm." Instead of a simple apology, Dr. Crowley threatened me with a smart assed "Would you rather I not examine you?" Then he told me that he had been waiting on patients since 9.15 am. Stunned by this, what… was I supposed to say? So I told him to go ahead and was livid enough not to have heard a word that he said from that point on. I could have made an unpleasant scene all things considered, but decided against it. However I found him rude and unprofessional beyond the usual breath. William Supern

Talking with DrBruce is easy

I liked Dr. Crowley when I first saw him. However, when I tried to get information from him advising me about which cataract implant would be best for me, I was given a bunch of legal mumbo jumbo by his surgical coordinator about their legal position and she wouldn't answer my questions. I spoke with him and he also wouldn't adivise me about which implant would be best for my needs. He referred me to another doctor and refused to work with me again. I had no previous knowledge about what to expect from the various cataract surgeries and these people expected me to make a decision about what lense to have implanted without their guidance. Avoid this guy if you need any explanations or details about your procedure. He's more concerned with being sued than about your needs as a surgery patient.

Dr Crowley is a wonderful doctor -great bedside manner, very professional but also warm and friendly. The office staff is friendly and easy to work with...highest rating.
