Dr. Bruce B Fry, DO

Dr. Fry performed the Radiofrequency Ablation on my lower back. I had Fusion surgery 10 years ago and was suffering from nerve pain. Dr. Fry and his team did an outstanding job! My pain level before the procedure was affecting my sleep, and my activities during the day. Before the procedure my pain was intense constantly. After the procedure I felt like a new man, I am able to sleep thru the night, exercise, go for walks with my wife and enjoy time with our dogs. I highly recommend Dr. Fry for your Physical Medicine needs.

I am an Army Helicopter Pilot that has developed nerve damage in my cervical spine coupled with carpal tunnel syndrome, causing numbness, tingling and severe pain in both of my hands. I have received treatment from several Doctors of different specialties, allowing some relief, however, with no real diagnosis of the problem. Unfortunately, the situation with my hands continued to worsen. I then found Dr. Bruce Fry, who is a physiatrist and spinal expert with the Knoxville Orthopedic Clinic. Dr. Fry is a detail oriented subject matter expert who is inquisitive, intelligent and very pleasant to work with. I tend to ask many questions regarding my medical conditions and Dr. Fry was happy to answer every one. He quickly discovered the exact cause of the problem along with an immediate and effective plan for treatment. For the first time, I feel that I have found a lasting solution to my situation through Dr. Bruce Fry of Knoxville Orthopedic Clinic.

Dr. Bruce Fry has been treating my back issues since 2006. His treatments allows me to remain the active person I am. I hike, golf, bike, snow ski and play pickleball. Without Dr. Fry's treatment I would no be able to do all the things I love.

I saw Dr. Fry twice this week at 2 different KOC locations. Both offices impressed me with the efficiency of both the staff and Dr. Fry. Wait time is minimal! I have been to a lot of doctors and would give Dr. Fry and staff an A Plus!!

I have been seeing Dr. Fry for over 18 months as I've dealt with recurrent lower back pain. He and his PA, Jennifer Vaught, have always taken the time to fully understand my symptoms and have recommended and performed effective procedures allowing me to avoid surgery. I could not recommend them more highly!

Kept pushing more series of epidural injections even though they didn't help...that and meds were only treatment options offered. He initially tried to prescribe me something that was an obvious interaction with another med I take and agreed it interacted when I pointed it out. Prescribed something else instead and told me to ask pharmacist if it interacted. All my visits with him were very rushed and he seemed impatient. Turns out his diagnosis wasn't even correct.

Very good doctor. He discusses treatment and medications with you, as well as spending ample time listening to the patient's concerns.

I drove 100miles for appt. I had with Dr. Fry, when I arrived I was seen by a N.P. very disappointed, will probably seek dr. elsewhere.

Dr. Fry injected both left and right side of cervical spine (had to be done separately for insurance). Was very informative (much more so than the referring doctor) and explained why the specific injections would work (or not) and for how long. Fortunately, they worked and I am feeling much better and getting much better sleep. Biggest complaint would be the wait for office visits and for the injections. There is simply a shortage of doctors and too many patients. This is not something they can do away with, but can possibly change some things around to make the waits a tad shorter. In summary, knowledgeable and very capable. Will go to in the future when/if these injections wear off and pain returns. I can also recommend him to others.

I was impressed with his knowledge and efficiency. He accurately diagnosed and after surgery, the pain in my back was 95 percent gone!
