Dr. Bruce Sheldon Trippe, MD

If you have any family history of a thyroid condition or diabetes in your family, then I suggest you see Dr. Trippe. I have been a patient for over 10 years and I know his experience and knowledge surpasses most in our area. I can't afford not to be proactive with my health, as my family history suggests. I also brought my husband to him for the same. We are glad we came to get care before things went from bad to worse. Dr. Trippe did a test on his arteries in his neck that revealed arteries of a 79 year old, and my husband is only 46. No other lab test or MD visit in previous years, brought this important fact up. We are very thankful for the care and expert opinion for both of us!

I’ve waited at least 30 minutes past the appointment time for each appointment. Making things worse, the test I was supposed to do at one appointment couldn’t be done due to a scheduling error, then I waited over an hour past my appointment time the next day. This isn’t going to work.

I found Dr. Trippe to be thorough and extremely knowledgeable about my condition. He found things that other physicians had missed countless times. I’m definitely grateful to have found him.

He is very detailed - maybe too much for some. He is just trying to heal the whole person. Both he and the staff have been great. Wait time between 20-30 min.

Dr. Trippe is very thorough and does a lot of testing. The staff is friendly and I believe very competent. I am so glad I found someone who cares about my general health, not just the thyroid problem.

I used Dr. Trippe for several years. For the last 8 years I complained about extreme fatigue. I have researched my disease, and inquired about adding T3 to my Tirosint. He would not hear of it! I changed endo's in April. The first thing my new doctor did after testing was to add T3 and change my dosage. I began to feel a little better, but then had to be hospitalized twice for Addisonian CRISIS! I was also hospitalized last year for dehydration and low heart rate and low blood pressure, which I now know to have been another crisis! I am so upset that I was never diagnosed with Addison's under Dr. Trippe. I am so glad I have now found a new doctor who listens to me.

Dr Trippe initially walked in a made comment about my shirt and said "you won't be getting any free samples"...not a very nice first impression--joking or not. He never discussed the reason I was referred. He "diagnosed" me with things he could not possible do by just looking at me with no additional tests; completely unrelated to the reason I was supposed to be there. He has a HORRIBLE BED SIDE MANOR- He does not make eye contact, he sits with his back to you and talks into a dictation device. He continually interrupts and makes you feel stupid. What takes the cake is he told me I had "cancer" called obesity that I'm dying from and there was no other option but to have weight loss surgery which I was adamant I was NOT interested in. He never asked how much I had ALREADY lost and about my diet and exercise. He never addressed my PCOS which causes my weight issue. I'm no where near immobile or THAT huge. He kept pushing the surgery and said there was absolutely nothing I could do… except have that to keep me from dying! Going to be referred to another doctor for the REAL purpose! And I'm going to CONTINUE to lose weight on my own!

Dr. Trippe is a complete scam!!!! He is blunt. He inflates billing. The wait time is horrible and no in the office respects confidentiality.

After waiting for 2 hours for my scheduled follow-up appointment, we had to leave to go back to work. I had take tests at least a month before this appointment was scheduled. The next day, the office manager called me to tell me that I had abnormal results that needed immediate attention. This was alarming to hear, especially because these results were obtained a month earlier and I wasn't told anything the day prior. At our first appointment, everything I said was discredited or interrupted. I felt that the quality of care I received from Dr. Trippe throughout my time with this practice was haphazard and rushed. He is very detailed but not about the right things. His lab team is great and wonderful to work with as is his office manager.

My comprehensive experience with Dr. Trippe and his clinic is disappointing. Wait time at the office exceeds the customary delays. The secondary wait, once inside a room, again exceeds the norm. Office personnel, in person and on the phone, are abrupt and condescending. Dr. Trippeâ??s bedside manner is a disgrace to his craft and oath. He uses inappropriate language and spends the majority of his time with you speaking into a dictation device. Of note, he once called out to a colleague across the room, while I was paying my bill, disclosing my medical conditions in front of several other patientsâ??a clear violation of both confidentiality and my dignity as a patient. I have since taken my business elsewhere.
