Dr. Buffie Marie Reid, MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Reid's for many years. I try very hard to be respectful of a doctor's time, and yet I have never felt rushed or dismissed by her or her staff. Dr. Reid is very knowledgeable, answers all of my questions and treats me with great care and concern. I would recommend her to anyone.

Dr Reid was prompt, provided information in a concise understandable manner. She provided clarification when I requested. She was both thoughtful and professional while meeting with me.

Dr. Reid correctly diagnosed my anemia and supported me with an iron infusion, follow-up ferritin testing ensuring my return to health. I’ve had two colonoscopies and endoscopies (six years apart) and she was thorough, kind and professional in both instances, prescribing appropriate treatment for follow-up. She listens and talks through options available to tackle gastro issues. Come prepared with your questions and she’ll take the time to discuss them with you. I would heartily recommend her for any gastrointestinal needs.

I truly admired Dr. Marie Reid as she cared for me. I had seen her twice as she was very kind and pleasant as she cared for me twice. Nurses were also very kind. Borland Groover was an extremely wonderful staff and care. God Bless.

I had a great experience with Dr. Reid and her team. From the moment I walked into the office, I felt listened to and cared for. Dr. Reid took the time to really listen made sure all my questions were answered. I never felt rushed.

Dr Reid misdiagnosed my daughter who therefore suffered for years with h pylori. Terrible, careless, doctor who just orders multiple tests without using any clinical skills, wasting time and money. Boreland Grover is a for profit business that clearly puts money before patient care. My daughter was clearly suffering and she could have cared less.

2 stars for Dr. Reid, dragged down to 1 star because of the staff. Don’t go to Dr. Reid if you want transparency, clarity, or any form of personalized care. I have dealt with many, many healthcare professionals, and I genuinely feel slighted and personally hurt by her level of disregard.

Worst doctor I have ever seen very rude

I saw Buffie Marie Reid seeking help with a life long hiatal hernia. Within 5 minutes after the start of the examination in the middle of describing my symptoms she concluded that I needed to see a cardiologist. I didn't even get to finish describing all of my symptoms or what I've been doing to manage the hernia. When asked how she could so quickly come to that conclusion in the face of a childhood diagnosis for a hiatal hernia, 40 years of symptom management, several contributing factor and no previous history of cardiac issues, she became incensed that I would question her education and professionalism spending the rest of my examination defending herself. In her ranting she even stated it was possible for hiatal hernias to heal themselves, further denying the possibility that I could have one.

Dr. Reid, I never met/or laid eyes on this person...I know for a fact, I was in the hospital with mywife. When my wife was in room 654 in Bapt south on a single day. She was taken down for a blockage about 7 am... she came back from the procedure choking gagging and vomiting... at 12 noon they took her down again she came back in the same condition... then at 4 pm she was taken down again for the same procedure... I said to the person this is beyond beyond the 3rd time and still can't find the blockage. well they might find something... buut this time My Wife came back in agony, puking and could hardly talk but was begging for help. I called the charge nurse Jeff... he said there is nothing I can do I gave her a pain patch at 730 this A.M. handing me a puke tube...
