Dr. Deluca Caitlin Sgarlat, DO

This doctor was unable to appropriately diagnose or treat my child. Many months were wasted trying to get a diagnosis and effective treatment. She was not consistent - overall it was a frustrating experience. Also, it is very hard to get an appointment and the office staff does not return calls in an appropriate amount of time if at all. My advice is to look elsewhere and find a practice with a better team approach to your child's well being.

Dr. Sgarlat is a very compassionate and friendly doctor. She goes out of her way to make you and your child feel welcome and comfortable. She takes the time to make sure both you and your child understand what she's talking about.

She is the best Pediatric Rheumatologist I have met so far!! She was always great with my son and explained everything and actually cared!!! She even called on her days off and weekends to check on him and gave me her personal cell number in case I needed to speak to her!! She is awesome! My son really likes her and I do too! Just so sad to see her leave Tuft's!! She was the only Doctor I really trusted from that Hospital!! and I'am at the point of actually driving from Fall River,Ma to Syracuse,NY, Just to have her see my son and see what she thinks about how he is doing and her opinions on how the Doctor's are handling this and the meds they are trying on him! Since she left that Hospital, I have had no trust or faith in ANY of the Doctor's that my son has seen!! I have even changed his Doctor 3 times at that Hospital and I have now switched him over to a Dr in Hasbro Children's Hospital in Providence, RI!! I NEED her to take care of my son again!! He was doing so much better with… her!! =( Honestly, If any parent out there is referred to her or whatever, Just go!! She is GREAT!! She really cares for the kids and will do whatever she can to help you as parents and your children out as well!! =) We miss you Dr Sgarlat!!! =( Rylan loves you!! =)
