Dr. Camille George Azar, MD

Dr. Azar himself is pleasant and listens. However, the front office staff is less than desirable. I called to confirm some details regarding my scheduled colonoscopy and they had THE WRONG DATE AND TIME! Imagine if I had arrived on the date I was provided and been told they had me scheduled three days later! When I mentioned a small additional issue which Dr. Azar told me he would resolve during the colonoscopy, staff informed me that he doesn't do that procedure and would send me to a surgeon. At that point I was beyond my frustration limit and cancelled the colonoscopy, telling them that I will reschedule after the first of the year - but with another practice.

Dr Azar is amazing. He’s engaging, knowledgeable & interested. He put me at ease and made me feel very comfortable & confident with his expertise. I was diagnosed with a serious and potentially life threatening condition & there is no one else I would rather be treated by!

He tries really hard to help you.

While an Inpatient at St Mary Corwin for Gi issues I was seen by Dr Azar several times. I had several procedures done Inpatient. I was supposed to see the Dr a few weeks after release to go over the procedures, results, and begin treatment. When the time came to see the Dr after release the front office staff was very rude and refused to see me. Due to having a balance at the hospital (but not this doctor) they would not see me for my followup unless I paid my balance. I am on disability and this was impossible. While trying to discuss this with the office manager (calmly and recorded for evidence) security showed up and forced me to leave. As a result I never received my procedure results, never saw the doctor and was nearly assaulted for asking questions. I was denied treatment and as a result became very ill. I would highly advise staying away from this corrupt practice.

My son went as a referral to Dr.Azar and he was seen because of a cancellation. My son was placed in the room and the Dr came into the room and said "I do not know why you were sent here, I'm NOT going to do anything for you." There was a brief discussion and then he said, "No not ask me for any pain medications" (he was not asking). So, rude and arrogant and no compassion at all. Would have been nice if he had asked "why are you here?" The family doctor sent him to this "quack" for a second opinion or a professional opinion to help clarify what my son needed as part of his treatment. That kind of treatment is uncalled for and WE ARE NOT PAYING THE BILL. The doctor said it himself "I do not know why you were sent here, I'm NOT going to do anything for you" he didn't and I am not paying the bill!!!!!!!!

Dr. Azar was amazing after 12 years of doctors telling me there is nothing they can do he was the only one that is trying and has knowledge of my condition .

dr azar walked into my procedure, stood at my behind, then took a cell phone call. did not engage me or the nurses at all. if he did, he might have found out that i was not sedated. started the prcedure any way. what about infection?severe pain. i thought the sedative, if given, would kick in at any minute. it did not. severe pain for 15 min.

Very rude, unprofessional doctor. Rants and does not even listen to the patient
