Dr. Camille Marie Teres Hylton, MD

I have been Dr. Hylton's patient for three years to deal with my glaucoma. I have found Dr. Hylton to be knowledgeable and professional. She looks for the best solution and communicates her thought processes and decisions well. Unlike other drs. I have dealt with, she did not propose surgery as the first option. I have found the most competent physicians may not be the warmest. As she is highly competent, she may seem a little distant. She genuinely wants what is best for her patients.

Absolutely no bedside manner. Did not spend much time explaining side affects from narrow angle glaucoma or going over procedure

Doctor doesn't fully listen, it led to problems. I got told things that made no sense after she failed to listen and properly address part of what I went there for...very murky communication went on with staff as they relayed messaged to the doctor. I called to try to get an answer to what was OBVIOUSLY a mistake by the doctor. The staff can't seem to get a question through correctly, and/or the doctor doesn't pay attention, the ones who were relaying messages didn't catch the mistakes I was being told by the doctor through them {the staff}....doctor was telling me things about one eye when it was a DIFFERENT problem with the OTHER EYE which I had explained to the doctor AND a tech I saw before meeting the doctor...this was all IN PERSON but they still could not comprehend and kept getting my left eye and that problem mixed up with a different situation with my right eyes !!! RUN AWAY ! I'd be mortified to have them handle anything else ! Long story. Then it was implied I only told… them all the details by phone afterward when I started calling asking why the right eye problem hadn't been fully addressed. WRONG ! I detailed the issue with my right eye to both the doctor AND her tech, in person.

She does'nt spend adequate time with patient. Wait time is very long. It feels like an assembly line practice.

Well trained and pleasant ophthalmologist. Good staff. Specialty training in glaucoma.

She is a good doctor and very pleasant, but wait time is way too long.

My mother was a patient of Dr> Hylton for approx 5 years. In that time Dr. Hylton did a couple surgeries including a cataract that was botched and caused my mom to have blurry vision. Office wait times are ridiculously long. It was not unusual for her to wait 45 minutes before the doctor came into the exam room. The true sign of the compassionate nature of this practice: my mom paid her co-pays by check. After having been a patient for several years and having the doctor perform at least two surgeries, they required her to produce her drivers license with every check. On one visit she had forgotten her wallet in the car and the clerk told her she had to have the license in order to accept her check. She fully expected my elderly mom to use her walker and go back to the car and make her way back in on her walker to show her drivers license. Luckily I walked in just as she was heading out to the car and I went and got it. When I complained I was told it was office policy. I personally… discussed this matter with Dr. Hylton and she said she was surprised to hear that was a policy and that something like that happened. They continued to ask for a license even after my talk withe the doctor. If you want a factory environment, this is the place for you. If you want a caring, compassionate office, look elsewhere.
