Was told that that my loved one would remain in the hospital for a few more days by the doctor on rotation. The next day North came on and she processed the discharge immediately. It was an unsafe discharge. Two days later my loved one went into sepsis while still on antibiotics. She kept telling the hospital she wasn't well but they discharged anyway.

So my son is in the hospital with a 'rare' disease. She says that he should be sent to a specialist because its 'not within her area of expertise'. Granted that is a very valid reason for someone being transferred to another facility. Before we were informed of the possible transfer, the first part of a particular test had been administered in its doses before the radiological aspect could be done. When asked how the test will be administered, the doctor stated that the acquiring facility would be able to finish the procedure that had been initiated. Well this is not true. That is something that is not done. First of all, the 'new' facility was not expecting him until after the testing had been done because they can not take responsibility for any procedure started somewhere else and it fails. Secondly, he was not to be transferred in his radioactive state because of the preparation of testing for the next day. It was expeeassed to us by Dr North that it would not be a good thing to… miss this window of opportunity to be seen by experts at the other facility. Our qualm is this: we felt that we were mislead in thinking that the other facility was excited about being able to help my son and his rare condition. They had no idea who we we're, why we were there at that time and because of the timing, he would have to start certain processes over from the beginning. This is a complete waste of time that could have proven fatal for him. Her practices are unreliable and unconventional.at least. She presented herself as competent which her actions proved otherwise.
