Dr. Carl L. Berg, MD

Dr Berg was my husband’s Dr from 2018-2020- my husband was ill from liver disease and he had developed cirrhosis from blood transfusions that were tainted from Hepatitis C .at first- Then he developed cirrhosis late in life as the virus became active-. Dr Berg was very cordial and friendly and seemed to be interested in my husband when we were there every three months - He would evaluate and give advice ect. My husband at one point developed a rectal ulcer - Dr Berg told him he would check on him seeing a surgeon not it become necessary and prescribed medication that would hopefully heal it- it did not heal. It became infected and we called a surgeon ourselves but by the time she could see him he developed osteomyelitis and Sepsis and he died. I feel Dr Berg was not proactive in treating this and should have at least put him on antibiotics which he did not not.
