Would never go to another orthopedic. He's done multiple surgeries on me and his compassionate, caring, and willing to talk about everything you are concerned about it great. He always listens and truly does care about you.

Dr Nissen is by far the BEST doctor I have ever been to. He performed surgery on me and did a fantastic job ! Love dr nissen ! Definitely recommend to all of my friends !

Our 12 year old son was diagnosed with osteochondritis dessicans (OCD) of the knee. We were crushed when it was originally suggested that he may require reconstructive surgery and bone grafting. In addition to Dr Nissen, we interviewed specialists from Hospital for Special Surgery and Yale New Haven. Dr. Nissen was simply the most qualified surgeon and his style with young patients is extraordinary.Thankfully, no reconstruction was necessary but we did settle on a drilling technique and could not be more pleased with the results. Both the surgery and recovery went exactly as planned and our son is back to full speed, playing baseball a little over 4 months after the procedure. All the folks at Elite are top notch and we could not recommend them more highly.

I really enjoy Dr. Nissen it was my first major injury and I was really nervous and scared around him. only because i didnt know what was going to happen to me. But I enjoy how he talked to me the patient and not my mom he looked right at me and answered all of my questions thoroughly even if they were dumb questions. To this date he is doing nothing but helping me to recover from my injury in a professional manner that takes tension and stress off. He makes me feel relaxed and calms me before he starts anything even if its just touching my knee
