Dr. Carmen Isabel Barres, MD

I'm not sure why I've never left Dr. Barnes a review. Because she's more than just an amazing doctor. She cares for her patients as if they were her own family. She thinks outside the box and that is extremely important when a patient has chronic symptoms for years with moreno diagnosis. I was a patient of another doctor at the that office for almost 10 years before switching to Dr. Barnes. Within just my first two visits, in two months, she was able to find a diagnosis that explained all the symptoms that I've been complaining to the previous doctor about for at least 2 years, of which he treated my symptoms and refuse to acknowledge that there might be something else going on with me as my symptoms become more pronounced and more frequently. I know that every doctor practices in their on style. However, in my case, we realized that this could have been solved much earlier. She's the best in town. And even when I moved further away, I still kept her as my primary care provided… provider because she is always thorough and never leaves your concerns unanswered. Thanks Dr. Barnes for caring for me as if I'm family and helping me get properly diagnosed!

I went in this week with an issue I was having on my nose. She was so informative, listened to my questions, made me feel extremely comfortable. I've seen other doctors before her and I am for sure going to use her as my primary doctor from now on. She made sure I was in the right medicine as quick as possible. Wish I could give her 10 stars. Amazing experience.

Dr. Barres is a competent diagnostician as well as thorough and likeable. She should be commended on her bedside manner and the fact that she touches and examines you from head to toe on every visit! You won't find that with most doctors.

Dr Barres has been my primary doctor for years she’s a great doctor compassionate and caring I would not trade her for the world

My very ill wife went in for her appointment as a new patient, we just moved to the area. Desperately needing to see a Dr and willing to pay cash she was turned away because her insurance was not approved after a 25 minute wait on phone hold to verify insurance. She didn't get to see the Dr at all and was sent away because it took too long to verify her insurance and she was informed that her appointment time was up and suggested going to the emergency room. I don't know if Dr Barres is aware of this or not. If so then shame on her. Either way the attitudes in "the shop" are NOT HELPFUL OR COMPASIONATE. They don't care about you or your sick family members! If the Lee Physician Group is an example of our new healthcare system we are in big trouble!

I've been going to Dr Barres for the past 2 yrs. She is very thorough & I recommend her completely.

Dr Barres and her staff work hard to give you the best care possible. They listen and are professional and polite. Would recommend her and her staff to anyone looking for a caring doctor who provides excellent care to her patients.

Excellent clinician but since be coming part of Lee System unable to get seen or messages to her like when she was on her own. Feel like she has to be rushed to see a certain number of patients a day. Staff isn't friendly like her original nurses and receptionists seem like robots who only know how to do one thing. Don't seem like they enjoy their jobs.

After joining the new Health System , which was in her best interest, understandibly, getting in to see Dr. Barres when truly needed is ridiculous! A week or more wait! She is an awesome Dr., spends as much time as needed with you and knows her patients by name and history not just a body! Obviously, when you are sick, you need your Dr. available to you.... waiting for an appt. a week or two later is unacceptable.
