This entire office from staff to Dr deserve ZERO stars. STAY FAR AWAY. I have a feeling there’s some kind of scam going on there because it’s the most unorganized sloppy disrespectful circus you’ll ever see. License needs to be taken away!

If you have any concern for your sanity and mental wellbeing, do not come to Dr. Lanez’s office. As a therapist, she is good, but as an practice, it is atrocious. My mental healthcare insurance was updated behind my regular medical insurance 2 years ago. She was unaware that she was no longer covered by my insurance for 2 years, even though she was never paid by insurance in that time. I then received a bill for over $500 once this was figured out. I tried to explain to their office admins and billing team that the patient should not be held responsible for payment if the Doctor was unaware that she was no longer covered. Had I been informed of this, I would not have continued to have her as my psychiatrist after the first out-of-network session. Instead, I was sent to collections since the payments went towards my “out of network deductible”. Regardless, anyone is in danger of being unexpectedly billed. Logic would dictate that this was the fault of the doctor/office, and not the… patient, but I was forced to pay or risk a collections hit to my credit. DO NOT ENCOURAGE THIS BEHAVIOR AND RISK YOUR MENTAL HEALTH BY GIVING THIS PRACTICE YOUR BUSINESS.

*WOW* all the reviews I have read are exactly correct. Nothing but a money business. They have patients locked in cause they need their prescriptions & are held hostage if questions or concerns are brought up. So sad that this is supposedly a professional? My son was nothing more than a means for them to make money on each visit. With this kind of medical help being given it’s no wonder their are so many lost souls wandering aimlessly & getting no real help to cope. Maybe universal healthcare is the answer if it would help eliminate things like this from continuing to go on.

This unethical highly unprofessional doctor decided to stop treating after my insurance ran out and refused to even write me a 30 day script. She knowingly left me with no doctor or medication without a second thought

Dr typically arrives late for appointments leaving patients to wait for her up to 45 minutes past their appointment time. This happens whether you have a morning or afternoon appointment.

Dr. Lanez is by far the worst doctor my wife has ever been to. In fact, she should lose her license to practice. She did the metabolic test on my wife and she still had no clue. She asked us what medicine "we" would like to try! She has no idea what meds contradict. Last time, she changed four of my wife's meds at once, against our wishes. Six days later, my wife is in the ICU at RWJ foir a week. She's shady and crooked. She told the attending, Dr. Tobia, she recommended my wife be involuntarily committed, but not to tell my wife it was her who made the decision, so my wife would continue to see her! In my book, that's shady and illegal to withhold info from a patient. I only found out when trying to find out who made the decision and Dr. Tobia whispered it to me in the hospital hall. Who knows how many other patients she is screwing. Be very wary of this quack. She is down right evil. If anyone with authority is reading this, she should be investigated for malpractice and fraud.

I wouldn't go back to her if my life depended on it. She told me to see a behavioral therapist and stop popping pills. Great advice. Thanks, doc.........

This women is cold and distant. She 100% dies not care about her patients. She never asked about any past medications or side affects I might have had. TRY ANYWHERE ELSE.

I would highly recommend Dr. Lanez, I have been a patient of hers many years, she is extremely competent, caring and truly cares about her patients.
