We (child) had our second follow-up appt with Dr. Oesterle, she represented herself and her knowledge head on, She is a great doctor and reassuring as well, and We will be returning for more follow-ups and consultations, She explained my childs diagnosis in plain English so that I as the parent can understand
I can not believe this physician works with children! My sons first eye doc visit was not a good one. She did not talk to my son, made him feel scared attempted to restrain him (4 yrs old) to put eye drops in before I said enough and walked out.
As a phycisian, I practice excellent medicine and try to please all my patients. Unfortunately, the second part is not always possible. I remember this patient as very few patients walk out. She was very unhappy from the moment I saw her. She has greatly misrepresented the office visit. I examined her child and spoke to the child a great deal while doing this. My medical records show that I took a vision with pictures and measured the motility. I then discussed the diagnosis with the family, gave them a handout about the medical condition and a web site to go to for further information. I explained to the parents and the child about the eyedrops. My assistant then came in to put in the eyedrops. This is when the patient walked out. The person referred to in the comments must by my assistent--a tremendous misrepresentation. I was not there to see what exactly hapened. My office if very child friendly with barking dogs and movies that can be turned on to help relax the children and give them targets for fixation. It cannot occur that I can examine a patient without takling to them. I never realy found out what this parent was so upset about.
