Dr. Catharine Hunter Garland, MD

I saw Dr. Garland because I needed two surgeries on my abdomen and pelvis. UW Health chose her for me. It didn't seem like I had a choice. She and her assistant were very kind and professional and convinced me that they did my type of surgeries all the time. I feel that this was a lie, but I had trusted them as professionals. Upon waking from surgery, I had extreme pain in an area not operated on. I also had two bruised and bloody elbows, which she couldn't answer for. A drainage tube was stuck and needed surgery to remove. Several sutures had been put in the wrong places, damaging a major nerve in my leg and through the drainage tube. The cuts made were all jagged and are still freakish looking, and neither of the two problems I went in for were fixed. In fact, they are in much worse condition than before. Now I have to spend more money at UW to fix the problems she caused, not to mention the ongoing painful agony and depression of the damage. Stomach, leg, groin all trashed.
