Amazing doctor!

Having a hard time hearing what my body is saying. Keep landing in the ER because of dropping my medication and BP drops every time but does it the next visit and land in ER again. Just don’t feel like I’m heard and truly understood or cared about. Calling in about the problem did no good, nurse would say to keep same dose even though I was struggling and I landed in ER. Addison’s isn’t to be messed with. ER doc said I was so close to Crisis but it didn’t seem to matter to endocrinologist...?

Interaction with doctor is that she is extremely curt so as giving impression she does not want to hear what we have to say. In past visits diabetic's feet used to be checked every visit. Extraneous statements that are meant to make patient or caregiver feel small get nowhere and are just plain mean. The office workers attitudes could be a tad more pleasant - a smile goes a long way. This in no way includes the training dietitians who are wonderful. I am confident that doctor knows her vocation, however we wish there were more of a friendly two-way atmosphere. After all diabetes is a progressive decease and compassion goes a long way to success.
