Dr. Celina Cortez Balangue Sears, MD

Every single time I have seen Dr. Sears it's been absolutely lovely & even when I had to wait a little time it was always thorough, very kind, and usually a great bedside manner. So I don't want this to be seen as scathing- this is the first negative experience I have had, but it's worth mentioning for flow and awareness maybe when people are getting ready to depart &/or are behind for the day.I waited almost an hour in the exam room just to be seen for my appointment, which I was understanding about honestly- everyone deserves their time, but then I felt rushed during my appointment (of which was maybe 15 minutes long after waiting an hour). I'm young and seemingly healthy, so I get I don't outwardly seem like I have chronic issues, but I genuinely had concerns I wanted to discuss related to women's health (that I didn't feel comfortable asking my primary physician who is a male). I felt like I was brushed off & left questioning "am I stupid, was I supposed to know this?" And it was… information against statistics I have heard in the past, so I wanted to clarify, but it was honestly uncomfortable to the point I didn't even feel I could. I know she was prepping to move, and probably has by now- she mentioned she had just moved her family the week before- so I have full empathy for that and questioned whether to even write the feedback- she was ready to be with them, it's her family, I would feel the samebut it did sit wrong as someone who is in a client-based business myself. My time felt disrespected, I felt rushed through and kind of awkward, so I left feeling very defeated in ways. I would hate to say something negative without pointing out the positives: The facility is fantastic, it's very clean, and the reception staff were all so lovely both on arrival and when I was leaving. My MA was fantastic & she was very thoughtful and thorough.

I can not express enough how amazing Dr. Sears is!! I recommended her to every woman I know! She is the best Women's Health Doctor I have ever had! She listened to all my concerns and didn't give up until we found the reasons for my problems. I will miss her greatly as she's leaving Providence! Thank you, Dr. Sears, for your kind and compassionate care. Best of luck to you in your new journey!

Dr. Sears is the best doctor I have ever had. She addressed my medical issues and responded to follow-up results immediately. She made time to schedule me in as early as possible. She performed two minor surgeries on me, and I always felt relaxed and comfortable knowing that I was in good hands.
