Dr. Cesar B. Holgado, MD

I used to love him given his pelvic exams are pain-free. The reason he gets only 2 stars is because I believe he must be getting kickbacks from labs. He orders so many, useless test, including DNA and mineral testing. He even ordered testing that is normally just done in the ER setting, like cardiac enzymes. Of course he sends the blood to the specialty labs who are out of network or don’t accept the insurance and you end up with a huge bill, $2000 in my case. He did the same thing to my mother and sister who were his patients. After many years of being a patient, I decided to get another doctor.

I agree with previous review everything what has been said. He was my doctor since 10+ more years. He was a great doctor and i trusted him very much years and years. Unfortunately he became a dietitian and dont really pay attention patients real health issue. He blames everything because of we are eating gluten. Even you say you are on gluten free diet, but still he still can come up some kind of bad diet that we all doing, no milk, no dairy, no beans.... He orders very detailed test from your DNA to all type of blood test that insurance wont pay. You have no chance to tell him what is your pain, what is your physical issue that you are going thru. He will tell you that because of gluten... I took my daughter there too. She had 6cm endometriosis (size of an orange) with extreme pain. he said stop eating gluten to her and and run his 20 tube of blood test gene, DNA, and everything else that you dont need. He ordered ultrasound and the result came 2 cysts with 1.5 inches, he run the… cancer test and came elevated and he told her that come back 3 months!!! After this I took my daughter 2 different doctor and 2 different ultrasound. They both proved that Dr Holgada's diagnostics, ultrasound result, censer test was wrong. There we no 2 of cysts, there were only one large 6cm endometriosis on her ovary. I hope Dr Holgada become a doctor again and realize that there is more things has to be done with science other than gluten free diet. I believe what we are eating is matter but you can not blame the bread for every thing.

I went to see Dr. Holgado because I noticed a lump in my lower left abdomen and I had been having pain in the same site for 3 days already. He initially ordered an assistant to administer a sleep/stress test. After reviewing the results, he said I wasn’t sleeping properly and it was because of my diet. I said no, it’s because the pain kept me up all night. He then asked me to do a “tight rope” test where I walked with one foot in front of the other. Afterwards he said I was wobbly and again said it was because of my bad diet. He explained that my bad diet of gluten filled foods, breads, etc were the cause. I told him I actually follow a gluten-free diet because I don’t like how bloated I am after eating foods with gluten. He said it was still because of my bad diet: even though I’m eating foods labeled “gluten free”, they still contain traces of gluten and I can only eat rice vegetables and meat. I explained to him about my lump again, the swelling from it and the pain I’d been having.… He wouldn’t even try to look at the lump, just kept pushing his bad diet theory. I wasn’t satisfied so I decided to lay on the table without being told to do so and just told him to look. He sighed like it was such a big task to do a thorough check on a patient of his. He finally showed real concern when he saw just how swollen my belly was and when he actually pressed his hands against the lump. Then he ordered blood testing that wasn’t covered by my insurance, cost $200 out of pocket, and apparently “had to be done right away”. After getting that done, he scheduled me for a follow up in 3 weeks. 3 weeks for pain I had already been going on days with. I went to a different doctor the next day who immediately diagnosed me with a degenerative fibroid and said I needed to have surgery because the fibroid was so large that it was pushing up all of my organs. I understand that Dr. Holgado’s office is very busy (the waiting room was packed), but it’s almost as if he doesn’t care to hide the fact that he just wants to get rid of his patients as quickly as possible.

I was referred by friends of mine who were long time patients of him and what they were saying about him is an understatement. First, you walk in his office and the atmosphere is just different. You already feel at home and relaxed . Then the staff, very accommodating, friendly and they update you on the wait time. They never compromise privacy and explain everything to you. Not like in other doctors offices I've been to, they guide you to the registration process until you get scheduled for your next appointment. Now to Dr. Holgado, he is very professional, friendly, made me feel comfortable even at first meeting. My examination was a very gentle one, unlike all the gynecologist I've been to where they have been so rough. I had to have surgery and he explained everything about the procedure, including my options. Surgery went so fine that I decided to have all my friends and family see him. I'm glad that he now has Saturday hours which makes it easier for patients who work get… appointments. He is just heaven sent!

i went to him for second opinion and I have been to at least 5 gynecologist in the area. When I came in, all the patients are all praises with the doctor. Most of them were long time patients of him or referred by other patients. There were talks that some patients are stalking him because not only is he a good physician but a good-looking one. When he saw me, I can now understand why one can easily stalk this doctor. Not only is he good-looking but also very knowledgeable with an excellent bedside manner. The patients who are writing negative evaluations were probably rejected by the office because of rudeness , which this office gets a lot because of his popularity,

First of all the secretaries were rude. The waiting time was from 45 minutes to an hour and that was normal for them. Maybe he has too many patience but come on, they can get organized. So if you can avoid this Dr please do it. not worth the stress.

He is the best doctor I have. He takes time with patients to explain and answer all the questions. Great office and nice friendly staff that won't let you wait long. Besides, he is the greatest surgeons in the area. He does not need an add, he just needs compliments and in fact, I referred all my friends to him and they are happy to recover with this doctor, surgeon, mentor.

The most approachable and knowledgeable ObGyn in the area.

He is very knowledgeable and easy to relate to. I was reluctant at the beginning but the moment I met him, he made me feel relaxed. His staff is very accommodating and friendly. He's got one of the nicest office among all the doctors I have been to. I highly recommend him to anybody. He takes his time to talk and explain things to you.
