Dr. Chanda Annette Griessel, MD

I’m writing this review to warn you, as a potential client, you get what you pay for at Triad Ophthamalic Physicians. Reviews on their website mention “cheap” facial fillers & laser treatments & that’s exactly what you get Cheap, shoddy work. I chose Dr. Griessel as her website mentioned dry eye treatment, a condition from which I suffer. Reviews also mentioned laser & botox “cheaper” than other places. The 1st appt. she prescribed medication & made a follow up appt. for 6 weeks later. She then left me with her asst., Lori, to discuss facial treatments. I made an appt. for the following week for Xeomin as Lori said it was a “cleaner” filler. At that appt. Lori took before photos of my face from different angles, administered the Xeomin & we talked about lip filler. I told her Juvederm previously worked for me, yet she pushed Beletero Balance claiming it was better for my lip type. I came in for the Belotero procedure & mentioned the office was quiet. Lori said the Dr wasn’t there. I… felt it odd for the doctor not to be on site in case of an emergency. She took a pic of my lips afterwards & provided an ice pack. She said that initially there is swelling & I wouldn’t know what it’d look like until swelling was gone. She said if I wasn’t happy with the results she would work with me to get the results I wanted. I received no after care instructions other than not using a straw for 24 hours & to keep lips iced. No warning was provided about patients prone to fever blisters, which I am, having a reaction. Had she warned me, I would’ve taken my prescription meds to avoid a blister & scar. After the swelling went down, I was unhappy with my lips as I saw no change. I called, spoke to Lori & made an appt. for correction. Lori used additional Belotero on my lips, providing the filler at a discount although I hadn’t asked for one. She took a pic of my lips afterwards. After the swelling was gone, I couldn’t see any change other than my bottom lip on right side had more filler than left. I’d mentioned it to Lori the day of original treatment. I called & spoke with Heather explaining the issues. She apologized & unsolicitedly offered to have my lips treated with Juvederm free of charge & Lori would call to schedule an appt. The next day Heather called & said the Dr looked at the before/after photos & wouldn’t provide the Juvederm as previously promised. I asked why which led to Heather arguing, constantly interrupting me. They had me come back the next day to take a current pic for the Dr for a comparison & they would call me. They called & said She wasn’t going to do anything to correct my lips, no further facial treatments & wouldn’t treat my vision condition. I was so disappointed, I requested my medical records including the before/after pictures & the very last picture they took. When I picked up the records, Alyssa, was finishing up making copies. She was looking over every page she copied! No Patient confidentiality! I asked if I could see Lori’s credentials. Alyssa said Lori had left for vacation. However, Lori was still in the office! I saw her when I walked in. After catching Alyssa lying she became irate. My fiance stated that we would get an attorney if the doctor follow up with us. She picked up the phone, threatened to call the police & have us kicked off the premises if I didn’t sign the release form AS I was filling it out & ready to sign. Later I opened the envelope discovering the before pics & last pic were missing, leaving me with incomplete records. The photos were left out because they proved the Belotero didn’t work and didn’t provide me with my full medical records required by the HIPAA law. Other than the very first eye visit, I hadn’t seen nor heard from the Dr after repeated requests.

Dr. Griessel is a great doctor. She takes time to explain things to you and is very thorough.

Excellent eye doctor

Dr. Griessel is personable and decisive, which is rare. Her "yes" means yes and her "no" means no. She is both caring and thorough. She has a keen mind and steady hands (which is a good thing for a surgeon) to go along with her big, big heart.

Dr. Griessel knows her stuff. She and her staff provide excellent service in an easy-going, friendly atmosphere.

Dr. Griessel was very professional. The staff were very curteous. I was extremely pleased with my cataract surgery and will recommend her to family and friends.

I would not recommend this Dr. because of the inadequate information given concerning the cost of surgery. Wrong information was given twice by staff and then the Dr. cancelled surgery because I was unhappy with the information I had been given and want my money back. I was out $500 dollars and Medicare paid for 2 appointments with me receiving any benefit from what she had been paid. The cancellation of surgery by the Dr. was probably a good thing, because it is hard to trust the Dr. when can't you can't trust the information given by the staff.

I was diagnosed with cataracts by my optometrist, who highly recommended Dr Griessel. I was extremely impressed by her knowledge and compassion from my very first visit. Her staff was also warm and professional. Both of my surgeries went great and I have 20/20 vision without glasses now! I have since recommended her to all my family and even my Sunday school class. We all have had similar experiences and excellent results.
