Dr. Charles Douglas Crumpler, MD

Very strange practice. He spent lots of time listening to my symptoms and seems very smart and knew what tests to order and explained why. But then there was no follow up appointment scheduled because we wanted to wait to see what the tests results were. They told me to text the next week to see if the results were back. I don’t get why I have to ask if they have come back, you are the one that knows when they come in so make the diagnosis and let ME know. Over three weeks went by and after lots of texting and phone calls and promises of getting it to me “tomorrow” I finally got the the results and medication. The medication caused horrible headaches and I texted and emailed his wife who is the office manager and didn’t get any reply. Possibly a good doctor but you have to be prepared for a fight to communicate with them. That’s not how a private pay doctor should work. No communication and leaving your patient in pain and helpless.

He takes time to listen. He performs essential tests. Easy to talk to. Prescribes appropriate medications and monitors progress.

Dr. Crumpler is very pro-active in helping me with my symptoms from Hypothyroidism. After years of doctors just drawing blood and telling me I would just feel bad because of my condition, Dr. Crumpler helped me with meds that do make me feel closer to my old self. Yes, appointment times often run late, but if you've met with him, he takes his time to listen, understand, and help his patients so you never feel rushed. I've never had a problem with Rx refills or call backs. Could have been staff issues that are resolved now because everyone there is incredibly nice and helpful.

After paying for two appointments and bloodwork twice, apparently Dr. Crumpler can't be bothered to call in a prescription refill, even after multiple phone calls and emails, all of which go unanswered. Bottom line is, if you care about your health, don't go to Dr. Crumpler because he certainly doesn't care.

Doesn't return calls, doesn't give lab results, doesn't refill very important meds. You go in for a visit and half the time he's acting weird because his blood sugar is low. Waste of time and money.

He is progressive and investigative, explains things, accurately diagnosis ailment, and doesn't rush you. BUT the wait time in the office is excruciatingly long -- bring a novel and pillow. And you won't be contacted with your results unless you call to remind them to post or send them to you. Getting in touch via phone is quite challenge... So I'd just drive over to the office if they don't call back in a day.

After a couple of years of treatment & two OTHER doctors that spoke to Me as if I wasn't taking the meds or eating right... THIS DOCTOR was an instant WEALTH of INFORMATION about MEDS & OPTIONS.... and within 3 MONTHS I made MORE PROGRESS with the Type 2 Diabetes than I had in the past 2 or 3 YEARS. I think it helps that HE is diabetic? Because He doesn't invalidate what I tell Him My symptoms are.... and the new meds are totally working. So far, I'm still deciding what I think about the "staff"..... Once in awhile there's a feeling that whoever is "too busy to be bothered"- but then, maybe she feels too busy? I like that the appointment doesn't have that TIME CLOCK feel to it.....

This doctor is not helpful at all. Only thing he does is the searching web!! Never release lab results before the appointment. Even cant call him to hear your own results. Stay away from the doctor. Its sad we do not have a good selection in CS

This was the worst experience I've had with an endocrinologist in the 15 years I've been a type 1 diabetic. I take care of myself and like to build a relationship with my endocrine. This appointment ran over 45 min late. When I came out of the room to see if they had forgotten about me, I inquired about the delay. Dr Crumpler proceeded to yell at me about the number of patients he had "squeezed in" on a friday and that he had no idea how long he'd be in with patients so he could not let the staff know how far behind he would be. This is crazy, your staff are rooming your patients, they know what times the appointments are...how about you do the math. Communication seems to be an issue at this office. I've seen comments about no return phone calls on results, questions. After my experience today, I have no doubt this is an issue. Perhaps this dr got himself in farther than he can handle.

This doctor does not return calls! So don't bother calling HIM about any type of concerns you may have! The girl (office staff) was too busy on her cell phone to pay attention to a patient. I would never recommend this doctor to anyone!!
