Charles H Lieu, MD

Dr. Lieu has been our physician for about ten years. He is an excellent physician. As a former medic and physician assistant assistant in the army and a research scientist, I have complete confidence in his diagnoses. I have never had a physician with such a "bed side manner!" He listens and answers all of my questions. He has all the qualities of an excellent physician.

It's been several years since I saw Dr. Lieu. As a former Wash U physician myself, he was recommended to me by a colleague whom I trusted, though who only knows Dr. Lieu as a colleague, not a patient. I don't often need a doc but when I did, he was pretty bad. Definitely gave me the 'you're a physician why are you bothering me with this' attitude, despite the fact that we're trained to not diagnose or treat ourselves due to lack of objectivity. Brushed off any of my concerns, even symptom reports, and in doing so completely missed my cancer. Perhaps he's better with non-physicians, but I certainly can't recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Lieu is a joy to work with. He has helped me with several things and I feel very comfortable with him and his staff. I highly recommend.

Dr. Lieu, takes his time and listens to your concerns and has a very personal bedside manner. Never rushes away or appears side tracked.
