Dr. Charles B Lovelady, MD

You're normally not at your best when you're visited by a doctor in the hospital. Dr. Lovelady's professional, frank and easy manner put me completely at ease. His explanation of my condition and upcoming procedure was easy to understand. That manner continued in my follow up visit in his office. While under his care, all of my questions were answered in a manner which I could understand. I never felt "rushed out the door". I felt I was in good hands.

In the last 8 months I have been treated by Dr. Lovelady 3 times including having my gallbladder removed. Dr.Lovelady is an excellent, caring Dr that takes his time to listen and provides the information that was needed for me to feel at ease about the procedures and surgery he has performed for me. The staff in his office is very efficient and friendly

He took good care of me and I will go see him again and I recommend him to my friends family who live here. My wife has an appointment with him in two weeks. Don't judge a book by the cover-the office is worn out and does not give you a good sense when you go there but the care he gives you is exceptional. I hope someone cleans that place up.

I had been putting off doing anything about my gallbladder for about 2 years. I watched my diet and tolerated the pain until one night I had to go to the emergency room. I was happy to be seen by Dr. Lovelady. He explained my current condition, and gave me options and based upon what he told me I had surgery the next day. I could not have had better care than I got from the people at the hospital and Dr. Lovelady. He was good with my family and explained everything they know more about my surgery than I do. I hope I don't need to have surgery again but like he told me he is like the fire department, you are awful glad to have good help around when you do need them. I will go back to see him if I need him.

This physician is everything a physician should be; he listens, he asks appropriate questions, he involved me in his thoughts and basis for making decisions so I would understand all aspects of my options and my treament plan. He was personable with me and I understood that I was a person first and a patient second. He did not treat me like a chore, he treated me like I was a person and he was compassionate, genuine and warm. This Dr. has great experience and it shows. I always had the utmost confidence in him and this was reassuring during all the complexities of my condition. I asked 1000 questions and he was always very willing to make sure he took the time so I was fully informed and part of the process, not just treated like a piece of meat like I have experienced with other provider. Even though he is a specialist, I wish he could be my primary care physician. Dr. Lovelady is what all physicians should strive to be; he is old school and that is a good thing in my book.

Dr. Lovelady was referred to me to operate on my foot. He was able to through imagination and experience to utilize procedures that precluded having to massively cut my foot open. The procedure he did was commented on by the nurses in fact one brought two others to see it when she discovered while changing the bandages. Wisdom and experience saved me hours of pain and weeks of recovery time. Highly recommended.
