Dr. Charles Bradley Lyons, DO

I have been a client of Dr. Lyons for more than 20 years. Dr. Lyons is a seasoned professional who offers courteous timely advice to cure any sickness or ailment. His staff is compitent, detailed oriented, and proficient in executinghis recommendations. I'm a lets get it done kind of guy and Dr. Lyons passes the test with flying colors ! I whole heartedly recommend him to anyone looking for Family Care medicine.

Wow... After looking at reviews, I was astonished. I am a 62 year old male, that stumbled into Dr Lyons office after getting extremely sick with pneumonia. Dr Lyons made his diagnosis, placed me on medication and scheduled a follow up visit. During this time,,my life had been turned upside down with a death in my famly and a 30 yr marriage had dissolved into total chaos. I had no idea that I was suffering from PTSD, but Dr Lyons recognized all the symptoms. After the 3rd visit, Dr Lyons confronted me about my personal life and offered to administer an antidepressant treatment. I can testify, without any doubt, this man saved my life. Not only did Dr Lyons treat me for pneumonia, but his experience to see the train wreck my life was in and recognize the suffering of PTSD, God only knows how my life may have ended up. I totally, without any doubt, trust this man with my life. A fantastic Doctor!

Went to clinic in Alpharetta. Presented with fever and cough. This dinosaur gave me a cortisone shot and an Rx for a cephalosporin that's been generic for fifteen years. He wrote the Rx for seven days twice a day. This drug should be written for ten days according to the FDA and the manufacturer. Idiot doctors like this are the reason antibiotics develop resistance. Oh, I almost forgot. He also prescribed an ancient antihistamine called chlorphenimine (mostly used by veterinarians) No surprise he settled a malpractice suit in 2014 for $900,000. Bottom line, I'm still coughing, I still have fever and now I need to go see a real doctor

Find another doctor who does not have a malpractice settlement against them. This speaks volumes about Dr. Lyons professional ethics.

First impressions are usually correct. When you first walk into this office you notice old, beat up nasty and dirty waiting room furniture. No excuse. A doctors office should ALWAYS present as a clean enviroment. I WAS REALLY WORRIED ABOUT HOW CLEAN THE REST OF THE OFFICE WAS. The exam rooms were much cleaner thant the waiting area however once you meet Dr. Lyons you will discover he has little or no bedside manner. If he is listening to you, he does not show it. If he cares about you, he does not show it. He walks around in his scrubs with an attitude of "I'm the doctor" and in fact he is a Doctor of Osteopath, NOT A Doctor of Medicine AND THEY ARE NOT THE SAME. Maybe that is why he wears the scrubs. He wants you to think he just got out of surgery or something like that. This man has pictures of himself and his DOG up on the wall. Be prepared because that is exactly how he will treat you.....like a dog. I bet he treats his dog better than he does his patients. With all the doctors in… Atlanta/Dunwoody, just go somewhere else. The nasty waiting room is enough to gross you out. I should have walked out as SOON AS I SAW HOW DIRTY THE PLACE WAS.

Dr Lyons is an excellent doctor. He was a pharmacist before becoming a physician. He also works in an emergency room that keep those skills sharp. Dr Lyons is also very good in treating diabetes and psychiatric problems

We had the weirdest experience at a doctor's office ever when we visited Dr. Lyons for the first time (and last). He has ONE receptionist/nurse. She tries hard to do her job, but if the phone rings while she's checking your vitals (no pun intended), she has to stop and put the caller on hold before she can continue (and if that's you on the other end, plan on being on hold for at least 5-10 minutes). The receptionist is friendly, although the small talk can get distracting. The doctor himself also answers the telephone and checks patient vitals, which at first I thought was cool, but the longer we were there, I started to wonder if he did so because he drove the rest of his staff out of the picture. One on one, he was decent. He asked good questions and seemed to do things that made sense. He questioned our family history, though, and scolded us when we didn't know the exact answers to his questions. By the end of our conversation, he came across as more than a little… gruff. Things continually got weirder throughout our visit. We overheard him fussing at his receptionist (remember: she's the ONLY help he has) about their dirty bathroom ("there's CRAP all over the floor!") and HE cleaned it up! Hire more help, dude! It's hurting business! We ended up spending about 2 hours there for physicals (there were 2 of us) because without much of a staff, it's impossible to get the dr's attention for more than 10-15 minutes at a time. I could see his office working well for someone who is older and unwilling to trust easily. Since Dr. Lyons is the only person who works there with the training to do so, he's the one who will perform tests and call you back with the results. Otherwise, if you have a family or if your time is important to you, stay away.
