Dr. Charles Michael Collins, MD

Michael Collins needs to remove himself from this profession and retire. My 70 year old father fell off of a scaffolding and was found unconscious with a pool of blood around his head. After being trauma hawked to the ER he was given 9 stitches in his head and told he broke 8 ribs. Obviously in a lot of pain, he declined OxyContin and went with another pain medicine route. Fast forward about 5 days later. The medicine simply wasn’t working, he was in excruciating pain due to muscle spasms (and the fact that ribs 3-11 were fractured). He went to Jupiter Medical Center and saw Michael Collins for less than a minute—there was one person in front of him and zero people behind him to see Mr. Collins. He was completely blown off and treated like an addict looking to score some pain medicine. He even brought in what he was prescribed in case the hospital wanted to swap it out. He had questions about alternatives and how he should cope and hopefully end his muscle spasms. What an… absolute disgrace of a doctor Collins is. The man has half his head shaved with stitches sticking out and can barley move—exactly how would he be “faking” this? I cannot fathom how a “doctor” with years of experience treats patients the way my father was treated. This is honestly the first review I’ve ever written, I just hope I can help someone avoid this individual and hopefully get the support and treatment they need.
