Calling their office is a PAIN
Self-verified patient of Dr. Charles I Saperstein - Posted on February 14th, 2017
The doctor is great, but trying to reach a human to speak with is impossible. Their automated system takes you in circles and circles and when you do get somebody they speak to you in a condescending manner. If they only knew what frustration level their system puts on the caller. PLUS the phone number on their discharge papers for calling in case a problem arises, is a disconnected number!

in the office i saw a PA, she was awesome, Dr came in spent about 5 minutes with me, gave me medicine for acid reflux which i do not feel this is what i have, i have had acid reflux and it never caused severe pain in stomach area. scheduled Endoscopy and colonoscopy for a month out. i wasn't happy to have to wait so long and suffer with the pain. after procedure he came over and told me findings. then left. i felt he should have explained each finding he notated on the paperwork. needs to listen to all my symptoms and not jump to a diagnosis.
Very Impressive Doctor

This was my first visit with Dr Saperstein. My husband and I were equally impressed with him. His waiting room and seating is very inviting and comfy. He is extremely attentive and immediately makes you feel comfortable. Has very good bedside manner and really seems to care about finding the cause for your symptoms and not just treating them. I would highly recommend him.

Dr. Sap explains things well enough, however his staff appears to be unconcerned with followup. They rarely call to explain problems, that happened at their end. Hard to tell if it is incompetance,or lack of empathy for their patients. Unfortunately this is a reflection on Dr. Sap, lack of training or supervision

I like this doctor because he is the first doctor I have ever been to who has taken care of my problem. He is wonderful in every way. He called me back to see how I was feeling and to make sure I had what I needed. He was able to diagnosis my problem and gave me the correct meds to take care of me. I would highly refer this doctor to anyone and have each time I met someone who has a stomach problem. On top of all this his staff is great and helpful!

Didn't help to cure me. Didn't try different RX, blamed me if something didn't work right, may have been misdiagnosed. Med Assist. a bear! Never ordered Meds right. Never got messages TO DR. playing GOD with lives! Nasty.

Dr. Saperstein has shown only kindness, consideration and patience. He zeroed right in on my problem and was so sympathetic. He has called me from home and I never felt rushed when talking with him.The office staff is very friendly and my appointments are made easily. I have never waited longer than about 25 minutes and that was once when I was squeezed in for an appointment. He really takes the time to talk over treatment and includes me in the decision making so I don't feel like I don't know anything. He is the best!

My father was near passing as a result of a minor surgery which caused multiple organ failure. Hospital needed a Gostro guy and could only get Saperstein who did not take my dad's Tricare insurance. Saperstein would not scope my dad to look for problems without coming out of the IC unit and talking to us to "make sure" we would pay him. You decide.
Horrible bedside manner

Though the office staff is nice Dr Saperstein was appalling in his behavior. My husband went to see his partner last week and h required a follow up call. Dr. Saperstein called, was rude about reviewing the information with me and outright verbally insulted me within this conversation. I was offended to say the least. He just is not willing to take the time to discuss the issues at hand and made me feel rushed in the conversation. I am very disappointed and disgusted with the behavior of this doctor. It doesn't matter how accurate his diagnosis, we will still be seeking a second opinion simply because of his behavior. This is the kind of man that gives doctors a bad name.
