Dr. Charles Lloyd Secrest, MD

Dr. Secrest is a native of Fort Worth Texas and received his B.A. degree from the University of Mississippi, and his medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine. He completed his internship and residency in General Surgery at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas; served a residency in Urology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi; and a specialty fellowship in Adult and Pediatric Reconstructive Urology at Eastern Virginia Graduate School of Medicine in Norfolk, Virginia Recognized as an expert in the field of Urology, Dr. Secrest specializes in reconstructive procedures on adults and some children. He performs over 450 reconstructive surgeries a year and is the only physician in the region who performs these surgical procedures on a routine basis. As a member and presenter for several national urological associations and organizations, Dr. Secrest continues to learn, teach and improve urologic techniques. In his private practice at Mississippi Urology Clinic, PLLC, Dr. Secrest has teamed up with five highly trained urologists to form a comprehensive partnership. Dr. Secrest is the Director of The Center for Reconstructive Urology at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center. He is also on staff at Mississippi Methodist Rehabilitation Center where he provides outpatient and inpatient urologic care for patients with spinal cord injuries and nerve damage which alters normal urination. Dr. Secrest is certified by the American Board of Urology and is a member of the American Urological Association, American Medical Association, Society of Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgeons, Mississippi State Medical Association, Central Medical Association, Society for Urodynamics and Female Urology, and Society of Pelvic Surgeons. Dr. Secrest’s hospital privileges include Baptist Medical Center, Surgicare Outpatient Surgery Center, and Methodist Rehabilitation Center.
