I’m sorry I wasted my time for a year and took vacation time to accommodate these idiots- she so worried about covering her own behind with initialing every move you make- it’s a joke! She didn’t help me she took me off medications that were helping my anxiety and then she dismissed me on the last visit like everything ok- she just sitting there collecting a paycheck and her little cozy exorbitant outfit they have wasting people’s money there! Please don’t support this place....You don’t determine what makes me feel better- I do- you idiot!

My mother's mental state had shifted. Family and friends had great concern. So, I planned to attend my mother's appointment with Dr. Booker Carter, to make certain my mother informed the doctor of her current mental issues. Dr. Booker Carter was extremely professional and her insight of my mother's mental capacity was spot on. I must say, I have great confidence in my mother seeing Dr. Booker Carter and getting the care she needs! Dr. Booker Carter's bed side manner is as excellent as her knowledge in her profession. I have followed Dr. Booker-Carter from Southampton, to Grandview and back to Southampton. She has been an angel to me who listens, gives advice and truly cares! She is truly the best doctor I could hope for. And I really did my homework of consultations with others. With Dr. Booker-Carter, I found myself peaceful and continue to at every appointment, in her office, not nervous and not fearful of talking about my ups and downs. I have told her many times I am nervous about the day I hear she wants to retire as I will try to convince her not to! Tx for being such an amazing doctor!

When I first saw Dr. Carter I was having a lot of issues. Anxiety, touch of depression and other worries and stuff I couldn’t shake. I had read other reviews prior to seeing her and had doubts because of them. Well,after 10 months and a handful of visits I feel confident and at peace.If your looking for a doctor that coddles you and gives you meds you think will work, go elsewhere. Dr carter started me on several meds and slowly got me on a dose that WORKS.Give her a chance,great listener,good advice and a fantastic doctor! Brian P

It confuses me how she is a mental heath professional when she obviously acts so insensitive to her patients emotional and behavioral issues. She uses words that a psych should never use and talks more than she listens. I have left appointments feeling completely berated.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Now I have never actually meant this doctor but the facility that she works at, is horrible. I informed them that my current doctor closed their practice and that I would need a new doctor and be able to be given a prescription at my first visit. I provided them with my old doctors records which I informed them were not readable. I think it is ridiculous to ask a patient to drive all the way there for a eval when it is very clear what they are seeking. Furthermore, I think it is insane that it takes a week and half for them to provide paperwork to a doctor to review that is not even accepting new patients. Shouldn't the practice know which doctors are accepting new patients and which ones are not. I would not go to any doctors that belong to the practice that Dr. Cheryl Booker-Carter. This place does not care about patients or their needs. Furthermore, there bedside manner is horrible.
