Dr. Kaufmann has treated myself and my family for 30 years. I look for doctors who are at the top of their field; who are up on the current research; and will explain and name what you might be experiencing. She has helped myself and family from prescription glasses to glaucoma to macular degeneration. She can be “salty” as she does not suffer fools. I, however, am not looking for a warm and fuzzy best friend (though she has been incredibly kind to myself and family), but an ophthalmologist that is knowledgeable, reliable and an expert. If your eyes need help, you cannot go wrong with her.

The wait was very long,but this was my first visit and she did a bunch of tests that my other eye doctor has never done,after going to him for over five years.She is very thorough ,I don't worry about the wait she spends quality time with her patients . I love love her.

Dr. Kaufman is wonderful. My mother has sarcoidosis. Her former doctors she had diagnosed my mother late with glaucoma besides cataracts. They all thought she would be blind. Dr. Kaufman saved her eyesight. Dr. Kaufman was knowledgeable, caring. She is the only one who knows what medications & how sarcoidosis affects her body.

Dr. Kaufmann is a fabulous doctor. You might have to wait a bit but it is worth it when you are seeing the best!

Very good diagnostician. Long wait to see her. Gives special treatment to other physicians and their family members. Takes them ahead of other patients. Intelligent physician with poor bedside manner. Does not want to share your diagnosis with you.
