I chose to see Dr. Monder because he seemed to have a good reputation in the endocrinology field. While he may be knowledgeable he is the worst doctor I have seen ever. He tries to use scare tactics to make a point, is belittling and talked down to me during the three visits at the office and was incredibly rude. After a test result, I asked him what came next for my care, "pray to your god" was his response. Before I left he added that if I develop cancer down the road "don't call me, I will just say I told you so." thanks.
I was not happy with my endocrinologist so I went to see Dr. Monder. He began by telling me he is friends with the other guy and they hang out together. I waited about 1.5 hours to see him. He did not listen to what I had to say, scribbled down random things I said, and it was very difficult to understand him. He completely dismissed my thoughts and questions, and told me, "Don't worry about it. It will be fine." None of my other doctors agree with him. He told me I don't need medicine for adrenal insufficiency. He told me to stop taking some medication that I need to be taking. He left the room and went to see another patient in the middle of my appointment. His MA was not good either. I am sorry I made the decision to see him.
Ease of Appointment The scheduling process was not good as I called twice and left a voicemail only to need to call back a third time to finally get an appointment with a doctor other than the desired doctor. Courteous Staff The actual appointment - I arrived to the office 25 minutes only to sign my name in and wait 15 minutes before the check in inquisition regarding my pharmacy, pharmacy number, referring doctor, referring doctorâs address, referring doctorâs phone number, emergency contact information. The questions asked in a very frustrated and condescending manner as if I was wasting their time but not having the immediate answers to all of the questions. Then to be followed by no less than 20+ pages of repeating questions IE; name, address, phone, PHARMACY, referring doctor, emergency contact information and many others. Promptness As a stated earlier, I arrived 25 minutes early to complete the paperwork in the office. There were four people in the office when I arrived and there were five more arriving after. One of the others was a new patient. All of those that arrived prior to and after myself were called back to see the doctors. Once called back the normal weight and blood pressure process as complete again with an aurora of disgust. While the nurse was reading from the forms completed earlier, I asked each question again prior to the updating of the form in the computer, which lead me to ask if I had completed incorrectly to which the answer was a huff and no then moving back the process of asking me the next repeated question. After that painful process, the doctor came in only to introduce me to a student and leave. The student was much better at questions and answers than the doctor ever was he was able to ask, write and understand quickly. The doctor came back in only to ask the student overview and cut him off mid-way through the second sentence. He again asked all the questions a mix of the nurse/forms and the student. Honestly, he only looked at me in the face twice during the whole appointment. Provided very little insight as the condition I made the appointment to address. I asked a few logical questions to try to obtain the possibilities only to be met with curt short response to contact others in his office and make another appointment. Almost 2 hours of my time, 200+ dollars (after insurance) and I was left disappointed, frustrated and degraded with no useful information to proceed or any additional awareness of the issue. Accurate Diagnosis I will leave as I do not and will never recommend this doctor or his office to anyone as my personally experience provided to created nothing but mistrust and a feeling of demoralization for no beneficial information.
I have been seeing Dr. Monder for almost a year. At first his aggressive behavior on what I should or shouldn't be doing made me feel bad. So maybe this guy cares. Over the next 4 visits his instructions changed and I had very little input. Didn't matter what I said it was t he wrong way. You can tell he never reviewed my file prior to coming in the room. Things I was told to do never came up in the next visit and he was more concerned with telling me I didn't want to get better and I should think about it before coming back because he only wants patients who are going to do what he says. I was so confused as to what he was talking about I didn't have time to get mad. I'm finding a new Doctor. Someone who is going to help me.
