Dr. Chioma N Iweha, MD

I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE Dr Iweha!! She is a "real Dr and being unsure do to the many Drs I've had experiences with, she is absolutely on my top list and one of a couple that I can actually have confidence in trusting and not once ever leaving her office second guessing or unsure of anything she has advised me on or chose for my treatment. She is the best!!

I was a patient of Dr. Iweha many years ago. She is awesome. First time I met her she came up real close to me look me up and down and said "I know what's wrong with you. I can help you" she knew her stuff. She is on point. No joking around. She is very serious and committed. She expects committment from you. She helped me so much. She is top notch. I've seen many endocrinologist the 30+ yrs I've been diabetic a long time she had been the best. I have many friends that have been patients they love her. Thank you Dr. Iweha.

I am on thyroid medication since i had mine removed. so this is something i need to take everyday. i called to ask if i needed to come in or if they just prescribe the medication (renewal) I was told they would just do it. i was then called back hours later to say they couldn't get it for me and i should call my primary care. Thanks a lot! i have one pill left. Thanks for your concern. i was even willing to come in here. smh. they also screwed up with things before i got thyroid removed. don't go here!

Overall she’s a kind caring person. But never knows who I am. She reads my results from blood work when I get there when it was two months prior. Runs two hours late. Then reads prior office visit to see who I am.

I really enjoy it and it was very interesting to come to see her and she ran test and found things that my family physician never even did and they ended up being serious things that I need to consider , and have done.

Helped to diagnose my thyroid cancer. She is a very skilled endocrinologist.

Wow.... the amount of negative reviews is overwhelming. This is what I have to say to all of this. This Dr. Iweha stayed late, until 8:30 p.m. fitting in my mother, who has a suspicious lesion on the thyroid. She was talking to her for over 1.5 hrs trying to educate her and really trying to understand where my mom is coming from. Then she is coming out on a weekend to do her biopsy!!! I do not believe I have ever seen a medical Dr. who would be committed to her patients like that. Its true, that she might seem harsh from the get go, but once you start talking to her, she warms up to you and after that she treats you like a family. Just be warm and pleasant, humble and eager to learn when you go see her and everything will be a OK.

It takes half an hour to set up appt. For new patients 2 months ð???ð???.

The office staff is incompetent. They do nothing to accommodate you. The first words out of their mouths is our policy is. Not helpful at all. They give the impression they think they are doing you a favor by treating you. They forget you are the customer. Lousy service.

She cares about her patient she says it as it is she's honest n upfront

1) She's rude, 2) She runs VERY late 3) She's rude 4) Her office staff is also rude and incompetent; requiring multiple phone calls to get a simple refill, 5) She's rude, 6) She orders excessive amounts of useless tests, 7) She's rude, 8) She has her idiot receptionist report abnormal test results--results her staff hasn't the medical knowledge to explain-- then you never hear back after asking them to have her call with clarification, 9) She monologues NON-STOP about how fantastic a diagnostician she is, while she putting down your previous doctors, 10) She talks AT you, not TO you, and doesn't listen to your concerns, 10) I have an MBA, but she talked to me like I was a five-year-old, 11) This is going to sound nuts, but I really think she enjoys imparting bad news (Ex: "Oh, you probably have Epstein-Barr, which I believe causes brain cancer, though it's never been proven"). My husband, who was in the exam room with me thought she was a sadistic narcissist. Oh, and when I switched my insurance so I could go back to my previous doc, her staff refused to send more than one lab report ...and I'd seen her 6 times!

The office manager, Jodina, was extremely rude when I explained that I had to cancel an appointment due to a death in my family and needed a refill before my rescheduled appointment. When I told her I was out of my thyroid medication, she told me 3 times that I need to give them 72 hours and my refill request was then denied. I will be going to another endocrinologist who hires competent, compassionate staff.

Dr. Iweha farms out patients to the nurse practitioners who have no idea what they are doing. Bianca, specifically, has been very rude and hostile. I have also waited over an hour each time for my appointments. Do not waste your time with this office!!!!!

I do not recommend anyone to go to this doctor she is very rude and mean and looks at you like she wants to fight you she is not professional she is not accurate I'm her diagnosis she was not helpful to me at allI left out of her office like if I have been in a fight please don't ever go to this doctor she is a horrible woman and does not care about her patients she's a very cruel and nasty woman she's also very offensive towards your patients asking her patients what do they graze on like if we are cows I was there to get help from this woman and all she did was tear me downI am a mother of three trying to get help so that I could be here for my children someone like her should not be practicing medicine period

I wasn't going to write a review until I saw the negative ones here. I agree that the wait times can be long. I would rather have a doctor that spends time with me and listens to what is going on with me,explains why we need to do these tests and then go over them with details instead of throwing me out of the office within 15 minutes with a prescription leaving me confused. I found her to be incredibly personable yet I do see why people might not like her. She can be brash and irritated with others as she can only help you if you are helping yourself. I am incredibly lucky that she was assigned as my Endo. She's a great doc,great bedside manner,personable and treats you like you are her only patient. I would highly recommend her to anyone I know

If you are dying and dr iweha is the only doctor available go pick out your tombstone. Stay away! She will knowingly let you run out of synthroid and then blame you for running out. She will threaten to drop you if you disagree w treatment . She is rude, nasty and horrible. Stay away. See her at your peril. I certain that her staff is unpaid volunteers. Yesterday a guy left me a vm fron her office. He said, in calling to let you know...wait, no I'm calling to...wait, ok I'm calling to let you know that you have an appt tomorrow

This office is horribly mis managed. Waited over two hours, weeks of phone calls not returned and then she wanted me to come in for an additionall visit just to read me lab results.

I was not going to write a review. I was only going to take a survey. I read some of the reviews and felt the need to express and share my experience. Yes I agree the wait time can be long. But I would rather have a Doctor who spends time the needed amount of time with each of her patients. We as patients need to be preparied with the questions we want answered before we go to out appointment. Every other doctor spends their time in the room with me looking through the computer and spending very little time speaking or looking at me. As a new patients she was very diligent in looking through my past medical records. I would recommend her to anyone. Waiting time is so little to ask, once your are preparied for it you adjust your schuedule

Dr Iweha was very nice and informative. The staff was courteous and professional. I do not mind the long wait to see her, since I know that she takes her time and finds out what is going on and listens. You do not find that much in the medical profession. You would be glad for a doc to spend a true 15 mins w/ you these days (always in a hurry, but not Dr. Iweha).I waited a month and a half to see her, but some other endocrinologists had a standard 2 to 3 months out for new patients. She had a lab and Ultrasound person (on Mondays)to assist w/ appts and I appreciate that. So all of the negative stuff people say, take it w/ a grain of salt and get an appt with her yourself and see what I mean.Great doc, great bedside manner, personable, and treat you like a human, not like groceries being cked out at walmart.
