Dr. Christine Anne Barney, MD

Dr. B is a master at understanding medications and interactions. She is knowledgable about many other health issues and how they interact with depression or the meds.

Dr. Barney rarely has openings however, if you are lucky enough to be one of her patients, she is very attentive and responsive. She is prompt, very knowledgeable, astute, meticulous, and caring. She is an excellent diagnostician and is very knowledgeable regarding pharmaceutical options. She is cautious regarding prescribing meds if her patient needs to make lifestyle changes that might address the symptoms - she doesn't just medicate, she holds her patient accountable for making good choices to improve his/her health. Unfortunately, she does not deal with insurance companies, so reimbursement is the burden of the patient, but it is worth that inconvenience to work with her.

Dr. Barney is the first prescriber of my psych meds with whom I've felt truly comfortable. She's a capable interviewer, she actually hears what I say and we work together to keep my conditions well managed. I've been through the mill with providers in this part of the medical field, and even though I can't get my insurance to reimburse my appointments, she's worth every penny to me.

Dr. Barney is an excellent practitioner, easy to talk with, insightful and genuinely caring.
