She just treated me terribly. Told all but me her dx and I was completely stunned. Then she completely withdrew her dx. She was wrong. She ruined my life. She broke HIPPA.

Save yourself the frustration and DO not schedule with this provider. She is rude and ineffective. She does not listen and is judgmental.

I have seen dr bowers since 2001 when she practiced in Peoria Illinois. Her compassion and empathy in working with early childhood and adult traumatic experiences and with significant attachment issues has given me the wherewithal to do the painful work necessary for me to more fully embrace the person I was meant to be. Though compassionate and understanding, dr bowers is willing to challenge belief systems gone awry due to abuse and trauma while holding space and providing support in a manner that promotes healing.

Terrible initial diagnosis. Worst was she never even told me. However, sent my diagnosis to many. After years she announced her dx was wrong. What an awful Doctor. Her treatment based on a wrong dx completely screwed me up. Don't use her.

I was diagnosed with acute depression, but I had PTSD because I was sexually assaulted and other issues. I would have multiple panic attacks a day and think I was going die and have my life come back again and again. It was bad. Sometimes, I would run screaming. I couldn't watch movies or play video games because I would freak out. She at least gave me medication that curbed the worst of my symptoms. She was better than my other counselor and psychiatrist.

She is terrible at communicating. totally screwed up my dx. I wouldn't recommend her.

Wonderful. Unfortunately she moved out of the area about one year ago.

I saw Dr. Bowers for several years and she was always very caring and professional. She was always right on time with her appointments. When she suddenly decided to close her practice I was disappointed, but I was more shocked than anything when I was told I would have to PAY to have my records copied and sent to another psychiatrist for continuation of care. There was NO exception.
