Dr. Christopher J Ash, DO

I went to genesys hospital by ambulance. Very sick. Had a hernia with bowel obstruction. It's kind of scary. I was alone because as I said it was emergency all 3 kids were at work my hubby had no way to hospital. I was feeling alone. Especially when nurses ask if I had any one in waiting room. Dr ash came in talked made me feel calm and taken care of. He was wonderful. After surgery he spoke with my family that had arrived. He came to see me. Told me what he did. Next 2 days I ask my nurse if she could get a message to my surgeon. She said sure. He not only got the messages he showed up to talk to me about my concerns with in half a hour. He was great you can work with him you can joke with him. He cares you can tell. Would go back to him anytime.

Dr. Ash performed an emergency surgery on my father last month. Regardless of all attempts to save his life, we lost him. His body was too weak from numerous, recent surgeries. Dr. Ash was so kind and talked to us as if he were an old friend. He explained things to us without making us feel ignorant. He was patient with us and answered our questions. He even comforted us when we were grieving. He was wonderful. I've never felt compelled to write a review for a doctor, but this particular one was so amazing that I felt I had to. I wish all doctors were as skilled at taking care of the families of their patients as Dr. Ash is.

We met Dr. Ash when my mother was admitted to the ER with an esophagus blockage. My mother was told she had esophageal cancer. Dr. Ash gave my mother a feeding tube and also a chemo port. (He even joked with her before surgery - in order to calm her fears.) He was very kind and compassionate when speaking to her and to the family after both surgeries. Dr. Ash even went out of his way to get my mother a different Oncologist because we were not happy with the original one visiting her in the hospital. My mother went back to his office for a check up on the feeding tube and chemo port, he spoke to my mother in a very encouraging manner. Assuring her that she was going to surprise everyone and be almost good as new in a few short months. He even gave her a hug when she was leaving. This man has gone way above and beyond for my family. I would recommend him to anyone!

Stay away, if something goes wrong he will never show up. Our son had his appendix removed with terrible results., Heavy internal bleed and lost a semester of college, due to being in intensive care and bed ridden. He has never discussed with the parents or the patient. Always out of the office , other than 10 minutes after the surgery, when he stated everything was fine. NEVER did a follow up after surgery, even though our son was in intensive care for 3 days following surgery and another day in a regular hospital room!

This Man saved my life. I had necrotizing faciitis. ..in my leg..was very serious condition. He operated on me took five pounds of flesh from my leg ..removed infected area. And took excellent care of me. And all of his medical surgeon trainees were awesome. I loved them all!! 73 percent of people that have this die or loose a limb..I did not..I have fully recovered. .I had a great nurse at home also..my sis Amy! ! I had a great support system. But truly I would trust this man any day of the week. He is awesome! U ROCK DR. ASH!!!

Dr. Ash is an exceptional surgeon , he removed my gall bladder back in 2006 , he was very patient and kind and made me feel at ease . he explained everything to me and even took time with me before and afterwards to see if I had any questions he told me to call him anytime if I just needed to talk . I so recommend Dr Ash to anyone who has to have a general surgeon . he is number 1 in my book of Surgeons . believe me you won't regret seeing him .

Dr. Ash was referred to us by our previous general surgeon. He has been excellent to work with, listens, makes you comfortable, and gets the job done. The staff is efficient and professional. I recommend him to anyone needing a general surgeon.

Words alone cannot sum up my appreciation, gratitude and heartfelt thanks that my son family and I have for Dr Chris. His compassion and down to earth manner was appreciated and in this day and age is hard to find. He saved my wife, and for that I will always be indebted to this man and always hold him in highest regard.
