A week and a half from surgery to repair a hiatal hernia and stop my issues with acid reflex have been life changing. I had to delay my surgery by a year because of a mobility issue with swallowing. My year long search to find a new surgeon.connected me with Dr. Ducoin who was recommended by GI doctor. He impressed me with the first time I meet him, the time he took answering my list of questions and informing me about the surgery I needed to feel better, He really listened and made me feel comfortable with preparing for the surgery. I traveled all the way from Kissimmee to Tampa, so Dr. Ducoin could get me feeling better following years of feeling miserable from medications that no longer worked. Robotic surgery was used with no discomfort from the 6 small incisions. I am on the road to full recovery and look forward to a future without issues eating foods I enjoy. Thank you Dr. Ducoin for you knowledge and skills. I recommend you to anyone needing a qualified GI surgeon.

"I'm sharing the bad experience I had with Dr. Ducoin in hopes that no one else has to go thru with what I have had to go thru losing a loved one because of the negligence of Dr. Ducoin. This was supposed to be a simple surgery as hernia surgery normally is. Dr. Ducoin performed 3 surgery On my mom within 2 days, to the point she got sepsis. I had all her medical records reviewed to find that this Dr. was negligent and medical malpractice would be warranted.

being i pain for eight months from a surgical procedure , then i meet dr. ducoin . he stated he could fix the repair and make the pain go away . 2 hours out of surgery and i knew it was fixed correctly by dr. ducoin . i have had zero pain in nissen repair for last last five days .also no more swallowing problems , not only is he a superstar , but he also passes on his knowledge to his fellowship . i can't praise him enough for what he's done and his awesome bedside manner .

I was anxious and fearful over another surgical procedure. Dr. DuCoin listened and addressed all my concerns before the surgery. On the day of surgery he again discussed the procedure and we agreed on a pain and nausea plan for the brief hospital stay. It worked! Once home I had no pain just discomfort controlled by discharge medications. By the 4th day after surgery I was out and about running errands with my husband. No complications just relief from previous before surgery distress.

Dr DuCoin is an excellent physician. He takes the time to explain what is going on, has impeccable bedside manner and is very knowlegeable and incredibly caring. He has the uncanny ability to put his patient's mind at ease and makes you feel like you are the most important patient in the hospital, no matter how small the problem is. I would highly recommend this amazing surgeon to anyone I cared about!
