Dr. Christopher Hays

Do not go here. I had an urgent follow up from the ER due to a large ovarian cyst. I had to make an appointment here as this was the only office with an appointment that wasn’t 3-4 weeks out. There was an extreme amount of miscommunication in terms of my medical records being sent over and what was acceptable. I was not able to get them sent over myself from the ER to the office without waiting 5-10 business days and paying $25 unless the doctor requested. When I got to my appointment Dr Hayes Refused to even see me without the medical records. They continuously told me they would need to reschedule the appointment until I got them the records. I respectfully reiterated that I was confused and was told that the discharge papers would be fine. I also did not have time to wait to reschedule.I had a severe ovarian cyst they were worried could rupture. Why did no one call to tell me this before my appointment? When I made the appointment they knew it was an urgent follow up from the ER,… and I even explained the issue. Why are women’s health issues not taken seriously even at a women’s health center? It is ridiculous. Where is the sense of urgency for women’s issues? I never spoke to Dr Hayes directly but I could hear his response each time the receptionist and nurse went back to try to see if he would see me. “I told you I will absolutely not see her without the medical records. The best I can do is pain management” not only is it very unprofessional that I can hear their entire conversation but it is extremely hurtful coming from a male doctor especially to have no care or sympathy at all. His tone was cold and he was borderline yelling. I told them I do not need more ibuprofen for “pain management” I needed someone to take me seriously and realize this is an urgent issue that is on you for not communicating in regards to my medical records. I don’t have the time or money to risk this rupturing and go back to the ER again to pay thousands more dollars. They tried to obtain the medical records but they did not come in time. I waited over an hour and eventually left to reschedule my appointment. The next day I get a call I had to come back because a mistake was made in regards to the medical release form. Go figure. The receptionist says to come before 1 or after 2. I drive 30 minutes in person to sign it and show up at 11:30. Door is locked. The receptionist said she had to leave early to go to Cary office. They wanted me to drive back home and come back AGAIN at 2. All the while my new ultrasound showed my cyst already ruptured and I was in pain and extremely frustrated. I spoke on the phone with their nurse, who was extremely rude and dismissive. She would not allow me to explain my frustration at all and kept cutting me off saying “No I don’t want to hear it you’re done”. I wish I got her name because she was extremely disrespectful to me over the phone, very mean and unprofessional. After that conversation I said I would absolutely not be going back there and luckily found an urgent follow up appointment elsewhere where they treated me with kindness and respect. My sister also had a horrible experience here. She was referred here by her family doctor for continuous bladder pain to rule out a cyst on her bladder. She was referred to this doctor specifically for an ultrasound and the gynecologist refused to do it. She told her to just take ibuprofen. Enough is enough. Start taking women and their pain seriously. This place should be shut down.

Incredibly rude and unhelpful. Did not even bother to read my chart before walking into the room and blames me because his office hadn't bothered to get my records from my previous doctor. I could hear him being extremely cruel to a young woman in the next exam room. I could fully heat all the embarrassing details of her appointment.

He is very rude will not answer questions huury you out of room . Made my daughter feel very bad about herself

He was condescending and was not understanding at all why.I wanted the results of my hcg levels. I felt like he was rushing me out of the office...
