Dr. Christopher D Tarr, MD

I am confused about those negative ratings. This doctor is compassionate, knowledgeable and takes his time with his patients. He provides explanations, is a good listener and left us feeling better in the knowledge that we had received excellent care.

Dr. Tarr at Tucson ER Hospital was kind, fast, knowledgeable. He gave me pain medicine I badly need within 20 minutes of arrival and even before my CT scan. If he ever goes into an internal medicine practice, sign me up.

Dr. Tarr listened carefully to my concerns. He administered all of the proper testing needed to make an accurate diagnosis. He even called me twice at home to discuss test results and treatment.

I unfortunately received a dog bite to my face, and Dr Tarr was the one to take care of me. It was already a bad night from the bite, but i was also in an accident trying to get to the hospital. Last thing i wanted to hear was "what kind of pitbull was it?" And "stats say that putbulls are the number one cause of facial bites." My husband and i literally had to bite our tongues because, this guy was going to be suturing me up and didnt want to give him a reason to mess up. He came back, 2 hours later, and was getting ready to administer licocane. With out letting me prepare for the first injection, he just went for it. I need a break because, it was probably jist as bad as being bit all over again. I get it, it was a busy night, he had other patients to see, but you dont come off forcefully trying to give me more injections when im clearly not ready. He came off as frustrated, because it sounded like he threw the syringe down, and started getting the suture needle ready. After numbing… my face up, he then proceeded to talk to me more about pitbulls and how they're bread to be viscous animals. I am an owner of 2, and what happened was a freak accident. Ive never wanted to leave an ER so quickly. I will gladly drive 30 minutes north to OVH, if it means i dont see him again.

Dr. Tarr is all about himself. i would not let him evaluate my dog. talks to the techs in a very rude manner. Please find a new job

You probably won’t have a choice since he is a ER doctor, I’m guessing that is the only way he can get a patient. I personally would not trust this man, my guess from what I’ve seen is he probably graduated last in his class. Find someone better for yourself or loved one.

Saw Dr. Tarr in the ER for some serious pain. He assessed the situation promptly and professionally and he me on my way in less than 20 minutes. Outstanding, in my opinion.

Don't get me wrong, he seemed very knowledgeable and I'm sure a great doctor in other situations that don't require promptness especially in an emergency room. However his snooty/ snarky remarks are uncalled for. Please dr tarr, if you dislike working graveyards keep it to yourself or let a higher up know,telling your patient youre tired you've been up all night while my face was split open didn't make me feel better. Sorry for the inconvenience.

This guy should not be allowed to practice medicine!

Horrible doctor, didn't ask me what medications o I was taking, didn't touch me once to examine me, didn't order a single test, gave me a prescription for ibproufen. I was on the ER from 1am to 330 am, i could've stayed home and taken 800 my of ibproufen myself instead of paying $500 for an ER visit with a useless doctor. I then attempted to raise my concerns to him, he sent his nurse, never came to give his face, and didn't bother to even hear what I had to sat, I hope you don't have to see him for anything serious, because he may just send you home with Tylenol. Useless waste of time.
